The Austin Film Festival 16th Annual Screenplay and Teleplay Competition Early
Deadline May 15!

Screenplay categories: Drama (Historical, Western, Drama, Family, Romance,
Horror, Thriller, etc.) and/or Comedy (Dark, Satirical, Slapstick, and more).

This year there are TWO additional categories to enter:
*Latitude Production Award (www.latitudeproductions.com) and the SCI-FI Award
(fantasy, horror, science fiction, surrealism, myth/legend and fantastical
storytelling). To be considered for either Latitude Productions or Sci-Fi
awards you must have your screenplay entered in either the Drama or Comedy
Category.

Screenplay Postmarked Deadline: MAY 15th Entry Fee: $40
JUNE 1st Entry Fee: $50

Teleplay categories: Drama, Sitcom

This competition is open to spec scripts for any network or cable television
show that is currently in production.

Teleplay Postmarked Deadline: JUNE 1st Entry Fee: $30

Semifinalist and finalist scripts are judged by production company
representatives, who have in the past included representatives from The Donners'
Company, Village Roadshow Pictures, Sony Pictures, Laura Ziskin Productions,
Saturn Films, Whitelight Entertainment, Fortis Films, Liveplanet, Protozoa
Pictures, Nickelodeon Movies, Focus Features, Fox Broadcasting, and WB.

Winners will be announced at the 2009 Austin Film Festival and Screenwriters
Conference held October 22-29, 2009.
