It was a sad sad day today. I knew Murray wasn't doing well this
morning when he didn't want to eat anything, so when he finally ate a
scrambled egg, I was happy. 20 minutes later, he threw it up, and I
had to decide what to do as I had to get to school, and my husband who
would usually be home, had an inservice to go to today. So I called my
vet, Cyndi, and I brought him in there, and she kept him in her office
as she knows I couldn't have him in a cage. I went back there on my
lunch break, and she said he had had bloody diarrhea, and that was a
very bad sign. So we decided to put him down then. He had his head in
my lap as she sedated him, and he fell asleep there. After I left,
they euthanized him. What a horrible day. But he must be happy now
being able to have his sight again, feel good and to be able to run
and play. He was such a special boy, coming from a home of abuse and
neglect the first 4 years of his life, then I found him,and he was
always so good and so sweet. I will miss him terribly. Thank you all
for listening to me......
