We find so often that time eases things and then the reality sinks in.  My heart is with you on this journey of loss and healing.  Healing takes time and your Lassie will direct you on paths you never imagined.  My heart is with you now and always.  She was your heart and your soul.  I lost Jude in Jan, and Possum in November.  I have two new ones now, who won't fill that space, but they do fill my hours, which is all that matters in grieving. I don't have time to grieve as their needs are so huge.  Andy's death taught me that loss must be dealt with by crazy busy-ness, if I was going to survive.  He grew a rescue from nothing to 200 in just a couple of years. Andy's legacy will always be life.   Lassie's legacy will always be the highest, and she will work wonders none of us can imagine right now.  As you find yourself again, without your best friend, you too will take such joy in the lives that you and Lassie have affected.  And will continue to affect.  I ache with you, Andrea, my heart breaks for your loss.

I want to thank everybody who sent me kind words and wishes, both within the group and off-list,  following the passing of my dear Lassie.  She was truly the best possible dog.  And you all are the best possible friends.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

xoxo

Andrea
