Uncle Dave Lewis and Larry Marotta are presenting an evening of
original film music for silent films at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, January
17, at Beehive Books, 25 N. Sandusky St., Delaware, Ohio (about 30
minutes north of downtown).
Uncle Dave will presents a group of six films called The Uncle Dave
Film Program. The films include the following:
1. "Ghosts" - Based on "Albany NY Fire Department" (1897) 3 min.
2. "NY Subway" - Based on "Interior NY Subway, 14th St. to 42nd St."
(1905) 5 min.
3. "Acrobats" - Based on "Kawana Trio" (1919) 3 min.
4. "Egg Ritual" - Based on "Petaluma Promtional Chicken Film" (1932)
4 min.
5. "Panorama of Esplanade by Night" (1901) 1 min.
6. "Tribune American Dream Picture" (1924) 6 min.
Larry will be presenting scores he originally wrote for silent
shorts released for the Kino International DVDs "Avant-Garde:
Experimental Cinema of the 1920s and 30s" and "Avant-Garde 2:
Experimental Cinema from 1928-1954." (We'll have some copies of
these for sale.) Films will include:

The Hearts of Age
(Orson Welles, William Vance, U.S., 1934, 8 min.)
