I lost all my christopher plummer films and I'm hoping that someone can help me
out. I'm willing to pay for copies it can be in either vhs or dvd format. I live
in the USA so they would have to be NTSC format or region 0 ( region free) or
region 1. I've been working hard to recollect his movies and I have A doll's
house (1959), The sound of music, Little Gloria...Happy at last, The thorn
birds, Lily in love, spearfield's daughter mini-series, danielle steel's
crossings mini-series, An american tail, Money, Rock-a-doodle, Impolite, don't
tell mom the babysitters dead, counterstrike the complete series, The conspriacy
of fear, babes in toyland, blackheart, the dinosaur hunter, dracula 2000, full
disclosure, lucky break, national treasure, our fathers, syriana, the new world,
inside man, the lake house, closing the ring, autumn hearts: anew beginning.
There are many many more I need, I'd be willing to make copies of what I have
for anyone -we can trade or swap. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Trisha
Some of you will think this is TOTALLY silly, but I happened across this forum
tonight: www.squarehippies.com/forum
It's a website specifically dedicated to discussing SHIRTLESS male celebrities!
Of course, all of you know who I thought of immediately! :)
I joined, my user name is ChristopherPlummer_is_HOT, and I just started a
discussion thread about him in the movie actors section. I even posted some
shirtless shots of him!
Hope some of you will join me there!

Celebrating the success of his first play, Richard Collier is
approached by an elderly woman who presses an antique pocket watch
into his hand and whispers, "Come back to me." A few years later,
during a period of writer's block, he sees a photograph in a hotel
museum, and learns that this elderly woman was once a talented and
lovely actress. Drawn mysteriously to the expression on the woman's
face in the photograph, he turns to a former professor for insights
on time travel.
For he must find her, even if he has to go back to 1912 to do so.
Self-hypnosis, and removing reminders of the modern present are the
keys, and Collier eventually awakens the day before Elise McKenna's
August 1912 performance at the Grand Hotel.
McKenna's manager, William Robinson is an obstacle. There are hints
that he is clairvoyant, and he fears the man who will change
McKenna's life. His attempts to separate the couple, however,
backfire, causing his protogee to resent him. Elise and Richard press
on, and are eventually able to declare their love for each other.
A tiny forgotten object from 1980 pulls Richard away from his
beloved, and all his attempts to re-hypnotise himself and return to

Hi, everybody,
Sorry if some of you get this multiple times. I've tried posting it
via email twice but have yet to see it show up on any of my Yahoo

The dial-up queen is no more! I finally broke down and switched to
Comcast high-speed Internet this week! Please change my email address
in your address books to paula_pow@.... My AOL email address,
PaulaDec63@... as well as my others, WILL remain valid and active
for quite awhile, probably at least a year, but I'm gradually trying to
wean myself off of it. High-speed is great!

Some of you may have seen this already but we're pretty behind on tv
schedules (of some foreign shows, that is) here in the Philippines. I
just saw E! True Hollywood Story featuring the Baldwin brothers on cable
this week. Chris is one of the persons giving commentaries on Baldwin
brothers' acting career (if not Daniel, it's Billy. I forgot becuase I
got distracted by Chris's presence [:D] ) . He still looks gorgeous but
a little bit on the thin side?

Doesn't Christopher look GREAT as Wellington? I've seen Waterloo, too, but

the site is a bit bizarre in the way it 'works'; can't work it out and seems a
bit disjointed. I'm
sure it will settle, or maybe I need to be more patient and work it out!!! The
more for
Plummer the better!
Does anyoe know why Chris Plummer has withdrawn from his January commitment to
the
General in Montreal?

The Canadian Documentary Channel (DOC) is currently replaying the documentary
"Christopher Plummer: A Man For All Stages" on my DISH satellite station,
probably EST, so it may play 3 hours later for PST. This version has a little
added material from the early versions I have seen, runs almost exactly 1 hour.

Thanks for that. For the first time, Plummer (and David Warner),
allowed a Klingon to look intelligent, educated and suave...quite a
step up from the neandertal image that the klingons had previously.
They both brought a new dimension to the poor, hated aliens! They are
both superb actors.
What Plummer needs is a strong lead role in a film...the kind of role
that can carry a film if the actor has a strong enough presence. He
must be looking for such a role still but whether he gets it or not
is another matter.

The full article, text with photo, was posted at
www.christopher-plummer.com on Sept. 6, via www.Pressdisplay.com.
The photo was taken inside the Stratford Festival Theatre the day of
the interview.

At present, this G&M link still has the text.

Pressdisplay has print edition versions of many (not all) major
newspapers. Sometimes there are photos that are not included in the
online versions. It is a subscription site, about $10 per month, but
there is also a free trial access feature. The photo apparently ran
in black & white, because Pressdisplay has a color version of that
issue of the paper.
Oh, darn, I couldn't access it either without either paying for it or
registering for a "free" trial, after which I'd be billed for it. I guess the
article was only available that day or for a short time. It was about his
Stratford Festival history. Sorry about that!

G'day, it is conceivable that Gen. Chang was based very very loosely on Diyan.
In that same
film, David Warner's character (Gorkon), was meant to be a kind of hybrid
between
Gorbechev and Lincoln! It maybe that they also wanted Chang to have a "link" to
another
historical and controversial political figure such as Diyan. I really liked
Christopher
Plummer in Star Trek 6; he really contributed to making that film the best out
of the
original 6 that were made. He really really puts an extra special twist into the
villains he
plays

I liked the Plummer article that you posted. Interesting that he may
reappear on stage early next year. Lets hope!
On another note - Does anyone know if Christopher Plummer based his
General Chang character (from Star Trek VI) on Israeli military leader
Moshe Dayan? Dayan was also an eye-patched charismatic Chief of Staff
who was very complex and controversial - a brilliant dangerous cynic
with little restraint! Seems to fit but maybe just a coincidence?
