Feel free to discuss this poll, it's not an easy one - they all have
Ego's the size of planets (or bigger perhaps) Some may argue that
because Robbie Tosser Williams often complains that he doesn't like
himself or he doesn't think his music is that good that he is humble -
quite the opposite his ego is SO FUCKING BIG that he pulls these
stunts for more publicity.
Please try to present evidence for whoever you vote for.

Well I imagine that award has inflated his already collosal ego to the
size of a planet. I recently watched the pilot of Nightrider - classic
- so badly made that you have to LOVE it.

Hi I am the owner of a small game publishing company called LIQUID NEUMONIA.
I am a massive 3DO
fan and my great aunt recently passed away and left me her fortune, this
meant I could finally
fulfill my dreams and begin to develop some games for the system. Obviously
we would want to
continue in the spirit of the games with lots of FMV, top acting and great
plots. any feedback or
ideas would be greatly appreciated and I will keep my eyes on this message
board. Keep up the
good work with site, and remember the tank can roll again!!!!
Posted on November 24, 2001 at 10:37:08 PM by Jay
What would be even more helpfull than a new game to the system would be some
sortof software
development kit released to the public. If all the tools were availve to the
public for making
new games that would run on any 3DO we would see alot of new stuff coming
and a major bost in
3DO activity, most of it would be crap but at least it would be new. Just
look at the Dreamcast
everything is availbe to make your own games and there are tons of homemade
stuff like emulaters
and game ports around and that system isnt even that long dead.
Re(2): Possible new game development

No that would be a terrible idea. How are we ever going to attract back the
big names such as
DOmark if the 3DO looks like a machine for amateurs to make crap Pac Man
clones on?
Posted on November 28, 2001 at 09:05:09 PM by Jay
Yea it would suck if a bunch of fags like you with no knowlege of anything
other than there
finger up there ass made the games.

If you ever played Metal warriors for the Snes you will agree it had the
best multiplayer ever.
If somthing similar was done for the 3DO the levels could be much larger and
support more
players.

Wouldn't it just be easier to buy a second hand Snes and a copy of metal
warriors?
IP: 24.4.172.59
Posted on November 28, 2001 at 09:02:38 PM by Jay
(The below is aimed at Ryan for his comments above not anyone else)
Why do you post on the board? Why do you bother with 3DO? WOuldnt it be
easier to get a job and
buy a 50 dollar Dreamcast with a massive game list and graphics that are
better than Ps2 than
fuck with the 3DO?
The thread was on game ideas and since metal warriors deathmatch was some of
the greatest game
play on a simple system it would work well on the 3DO. Did you see me say
lets port metal
warriors exactly no i said a game liek it but better since the 3DO can
handle more, but then
again you are a dumb ass FAG so go fuck yourself up the ass with your
sisters dick please.
Posted on November 29, 2001 at 03:45:36 PM by Ran
You're not very accurate are you Jay? Firstly my name is Ran not Ryan. Also
what is all this
about a 50 dollar Dreamcast? You sound like you know more about 50 dollar
rent boys to be honest.
And my sister doesn't have a dick - Is it your experience with Lady Boys
that has caused your
confusion?

Well I reckon to put some ammunition back into the "tank" we need a game
that takes all the best
elements of past 3DO titles and mixes them up into one tasty swiss cheese
bun. Take the top plot
FMV sequences from Shockwave and Pheonix 3 and blend them with the unique
gameing style of
Gridders, add in a dash of the tight plot dynamics of Total Eclipse. A pinch
of the easy to to
get into gameplay of Gex should finish it off nicely. So what have you got
once you've blended
all these fine games together?
A disgusting mess, to be honest. So just make a sequel to Burning Soldier -
IT ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hmmm... nice idea, nice package, yes a small package but it packs a big
punch. Can you ellaborate
further on the idea, I mean you can cast many stones Gideon but if the world
is dry then so is
your wish! I really like the idea of Phoenix 3 2 games in one, maybe we
could try more than 2
games in one!

Maybe we could use the realistic laser gun blasts from space pirates, and of
course we need an
awesome new alien race we have had, Draaksai, Gral, Kaisertians, and
ofcourse the aliens from
shockwave, what sort of name could we come up with. What country are you in?
maybe we should talk
about your ideas on the phone! I need a new story board editor and writer, I
am based in
Liverpool England. Wow I am really excited now, we can really finally
exploit the 3DO's massive
and monstrous potenential. Jon.

As much as I'd like to believe you, I know in my heart that 3DO development
is finished. We are
too small a user base to attract names such as Crystal Dynamics and DOmark.
I will just play the
classics to keep the 3DO spirit alive.

Hey man, don't give up! 3DO IS going to come back one way or another! Think
right, what happens
if XBox flops? Microsoft are going to look pretty stupid but if they
re-released it with added
3DO compatibility they would have two bonus's - 1) The HUGE number of
quality 3DO titles
(too numerous to list here) and 2) The highly respected name of 3DO itself!
Everyone remembers
3DO fondly and many would jump at the chance of reviving it!
Just keep the faith alive and let's make every shot count!

I dont think that you should discourage Liquid Neumonia, anything new to add
to my 3do collection
would be a blessing. I just thank the lord tha we have 3do and that we have
such a large quantity
of quality titles. I think maybe LN should produce a stand alone title a bit
like mortal kombat
mythologies - sub zero on the snes - maybe way of the warrior heroes -
crimson glory. It could be
a quality platform game, with sink sand levels, icey slippy levels and all
of the other great
things that make a great platformer but this one stars the best way of the
warrior character
Crimson Glory - what do you think jonny?

Yes I will but I think that maybe we ae forgetting the best beat em'up on
the 3DO Rise of the

super brawl
spectacular, or maybe we could do something like Capcom Vs. Snk with Crystal
Dynamics VS.
American laser games.

Hey I'd forgotten about Rise of the Robots!! Howzabout a game where you have
the robots from
RotR flying the spaceships outa Shockwave 2, the player has to battle them
in a dinasaur shaped
exo-skeleton suit! Now that a great game would make!!!

I think you are losing sight of the fact that the companies who made the
original games may not
wish to license them that cheaply, if at all. I mean if you were Rage
software would you wish to
allow somebody else to use and cash in on the household name of Rise of the
Robots? No, I think
this is all pipe dreams - I will play the classics and keep the name 3DO
close to my heart.

Does anyone know what happened to American laser games? I mean they made
such great games, and
no-one else has managed to carry out an FMV 'shooter' with the style and
classy acting that they
had with games like, space pirates for example. It would be sad to see that
they had gone
bankrupt or maybe committed suicide or something like that. I would love to
get hold of some
guns, so I felt like I was really there battling for good against evil, I
mean Captain Talon is
ruthless and we cant let him get aw...... .....sorry got a bit carried away
there, forgive me but
space pirates is my life man and without a gun I just dont feel like a man,
I feel like half a

How could you even consider dishonouring the memory of Shockwave,
Shockwave - Operation Jumpgate
and Shockwave 2 - Beyond a Joke (or whatever it was called) by re-hashing
the classic characters
into a disgusting modern game style? You make me cry tears of despair when
you sugest such
dis-respectful things. Let Shockwave live on only in our hearts - people of

You however live in a dream world of exciting new developments which will
never come to passs.

Well hi there boys and girls.
A few things firstly - whats happened?
why is everyone talking about what they like to be called and who is the
most bonkers and doo-lally. Lets get back to the R.E.A.L. issue 3do.
Since
you havent been giving me any ideas I have, with my design team here at
Liquid Neumonia come up with a working idea for 3do. The working title
is
'spectro-infatugo' prenounced 'speck-trow-in-faar-tew-go'. The name says
alot about the game. It is about a science researcher called 'troy
freeman'
he is researching the supernatural world or the 'spectro world' as it is
known in the game. He develops a way of crossing into the spectro world,
which is called 'infatugo illumination'. whilst experimenting with this
technique troy has an accident (or atleast thats what he thinks) happens
and
he is lost permenantly in the spectro world. Ofcourse there was no
accident
it was the leader of the spectro world 'dark lord Baz' drawing him in
for
his own twisted purposes. The game is a little like Phoenix 3 as there
are 2
games within the game, the first is a platform style adventure and the
second is a first person shooting section where you get to battle it out
with the dark boss of each level. We have finished designing the first
level
and we are gonna make a test version to see if the idea is feasable.
Then
ofcourse we will hire some actors (of high qulity ofcourse) to come and
make
the FMV cut sequences. If you have any ideas to move on my project let
me
know, but 3do lovers everywhere can start to get prepared for the
ressurection of the awesome machine.
Long Live 3DO, long live Liquid Neumonia and long live Figures!

If you are truly serious and dedicated to making this game, you will
most
likely need a 3DO developer's kit, and possibly a 3DO debugging kit
(basically a 3DO unit that doesn't require encrypted games). Then you
will
have to plead with The 3DO Company to release their encryption. Perhaps
get
in contact with Good Deal Games because they claim to have some
unpublished
games available to them. You are going to need some 3D graphical art
experience (beware of the 4 point polygon!) and of course programming
experience.
Anyways, good luck.

than

yes but thats taking into account the falling exchange rate, there
really
isnt that much difference, but we are going to produce more of the US

that has different packaging, which is cheaper to produce. Its not an
unfair
deal I can assure you.

If it would make you happy, then please by all means put a cap in my
ass. I
just want peace and solidarity within this 3DO community.
Discourse is easy but must be avoided, though it is hard.

Of course I will get out of your face if it will make you feel more at
peace. I seek only to soothe and calm the world. Peace.

Guys, I know your just joking around, but it's taking over the board
with
messages that have little to do with actual 3DO substance. Please refer
to
this board for future flame wars (even if it's in good humor):
