WHY I DO WHAT I DO, THE WAY I DO IT   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #201 of 225 |
A lot of actors are curious about why I've spent the last
five years helping performers gain an understanding of how
to go about building a successful acting career.

It's a reasonable question - and here's the answer ...

I look at what I do as saving lives. Because, if you never
get the chance to do what you love - it's gonna kill you.

So, I'm dedicated to helping actors recognize those steps
they must take to succeed - and to help them develop the
kind of mind-set that helps them to actually take those
steps.

Another reason has to do with this joke ...

=================
AN ACTOR'S JOKE
=================

How many actors does it take to change a light-bulb?

100. 1 to change the bulb. And 99 to say they COULD have
changed the light bulb - if someone would only give them
a freaking break!

* * * * *

I always think of this old joke when I hear some actor
tell me that all s/he wants - is to be a 'working actor.'

I hear this phrase a lot. I'm sure you do too. Maybe you've
even said it yourself.

Unfortunately this bit of shorthand, which allows you to
leave your goals undefined, can have a devastating effect
on the actual results you are getting in your acting career.

If you are using this phrase (or other similar shorthand)
you are probably ... slowly... destroying your chances of
success as an actor.

It's the main reason I wrote my acting career courses.

================================
THE FACTS OF 'LIFE' - AND CAREER
================================

As you probably know, I've got about 100,000 actors on my
various contact lists. And I hear from them every day -
and they have lots of questions.

The problem is that so many actors just don't understand
the 'facts of life' regarding the acting profession - and
because they keep trying to move forward with incomplete
or incorrect beliefs - they keep getting horrible results.

I'm talking about actors who remain in a job they hate to
pay the bills - and the progress in their acting careers
is ... well ... disappointing.

This is especially tough on talented actors and those who
dearly love to act. What most actors don't know is that
the long term result of this daily disappointment and
'putting off' their dream is frustration, resignation ...
and quitting.

===============================
A LOT OF ACTORS JUST GIVE IT UP
===============================

It's a fact. One of the top reasons actors unsubscribe
from this newsletter is "I'm not acting anymore."

A lot of very good actors just give up and go home - to
live a long life of 'what might have been.'

That's why I'm passionate about training actors in the
'business' of the business. To reveal the "real deal"
about what it really takes to succeed in your acting
career.

The response I've been getting from thousands of actors -
from all over the planet – tells me I'm on to something.

Here's a sample (from actual letters and emails):

===============
WHAT ACTORS SAY
===============

"You Must Act! changed everything for me. Within 2 months
of starting it, I booked a paying commercial, without an
agent - and then another a month later. After I 'graduated'
I went full force into my business and have never looked
back." ~ Michael Briggs

"Nail It! has completely changed my mindset about auditions!
I started reading it at the beginning of September and EVERY
audition I went on in the next two weeks either resulted in
a callback or booking (3 bookings out of 5 auditions)!...
thank you for such an inspiring product!" ~ Amy Schloerb

"(You Must Act) is incredible from every direction. It is
truly the information I have hungered for - the cost of the
course is a 'steal' - relative to all the materials in it,
tremendous insights, and wisdom provided. You've already
shown me I CAN do it, if only I WILL do it!" ~ Barney Welch

"... filled with golden nuggets no matter what level one
has attained in this biz. And though I dearly wished I had
had this at the beginning of my career, I cherished the
things I was currently adding to my 'bag of tricks' and
my storehouse of knowledge." ~ Deb Cresswell

"The confidence that I gained through (Headshot Secrets)
led to me being 'comfortable' in front of the still camera
for the first time in my life. I actually felt like my
photographers were taking a picture of me, not some guy
posing." ~ Jef Canter

"Bob writes in such a way that you feel you have someone
in the room with you, chatting with you, mentoring you,
and within the hour he has you hooked, you start to think
again, to re-organise your thinking and more importantly
begin to practically apply his ideas. As a result of the
changes in my approach, I've spent the last year as a
co-star on the top British soap opera ... (You Must Act!)
should be mandatory in all drama schools." ~ Paul McEwan

"Your courses are amazing. I received everything in the
mail about 5 months ago. About 2 months after that, I
booked 2 TV commercials (one main and one featured role).
I also got cast as the lead in a six part mini series which
will go to air on Australian TV later this year... your
resources gave me that extra edge and I would personally
like to thank you for all your help." ~ J.P.

"... so many resources at low or now cost with no bull pie
attached. It is refreshing in this industry that a veteran
is willing to share and help those of us who have questions,
those of us who haven't made it yet." ~ Mechelle Lassiter

* * * * *

The truth is that I've gotten literally 100's and 100's of
these kinds of emails, postcards and letters from actors
from all over the world who are finally getting somewhere
in their career (by the way, I'm not tooting my own horn -
I'm actually pretty humbled by all the great results that
I'm hearing about on an almost daily basis).

Look, these letters do one thing for me - they make me more
positive than ever that once you see my courses - and start
applying my methods - your career will really start moving
up the ladder. That your own road blocks will disappear ...
that you will finally be on the right path ... that you'll
be heading for the places you really want to go.

The fact is that I'm so sure that my courses will help
actors who use them, that I offer a NO-RISK, 100 percent,
MONEY BACK GUARANTEE on every one. And my guarantee is
good for one full year - so you can really try them out.

So, try my way for a year ... if my courses don't improve
your career dramatically - ask for and GET a full refund.

Period.

This is more than a guarantee, this is my personal promise.
(And I'll even pay for shipping and handling.)

Try my courses. What have you got to lose? (Other than a few
questionable beliefs that are likely to be leading you down
the wrong road.)

Or, go ahead think about it for a few days.

It's really up to you to decide WHEN you want to start taking
steps to improve your acting career.
