I'm new to the group and I'm an actress in California. I signed up because I

other actors and hear about our experiences in the business.

As an introduction, I'd like to share a few 'freebees' I've found on the net
that might be
helpful.

Judy Kerr is an author and acting coach and she has a cool site. Her book Acting
Is
Everything is just filled with great info for actors in Hollywood - but on her
site you can
download several free things that help actors including articles about building
an acting
reel, a list of show biz related sites and she has several video interviews with
industry
people. Definitely worth the trip. www.actingiseverything.com

Another good site is www.monologueaudition.com which is run by Karen Kohlhaas
who
teaches at The Atlantic Theatre company in New York. She has several neat things
on the
site including a list of overdone monologues and she has a free newsletter about
acting
auditions and monologues.

Anyway, I'll try to share more things in the future and look forward to
networking with
