How To Get An Agent (Part 1)

This is post on my blog that is a series of articles
about how to get an agent.

I am asked almost daily about the “getting” of an agent.
Actors ask, writers ask, my dentist asks. So, in order
to move on, lets get this landing an agent business
cleared up.

I’m sure this will article will provoke many an argument,
but here are the facts:

First, agents are salespeople who work for an employment
agency. That’s what they do. They call people who have
jobs to fill and they try to “sell” the contractors they
represent (actors). They are like salespeople at a “temp”
agency.

Just because they sell actors doesn’t change the job.

Second and most important to understand, agents do it for
