(WARNING: Profanity ahead) It was too good to be true. After all
these years, they were finally making a sequel to one of my favorite
sci-fi movies (second only to Aliens). And Brenda was coming back
with a more relevant role. Then, a couple of days ago, I finally saw
it. Holy shit. I know the budget was low, but that's no excuse for
the abysmal script and the lousy direction. Worse than that, this
humourless crapfest is a betrayal to the spirit of the first movie.
I feel sorry for Brenda, because I liked her performance and I have
a feeling she enjoyed doing this. But not even Clancy Brown as Zim
instead of the fucking Sentinel could have saved this mess. Frankly,
if the same guys are behind a future Starhip Troopers 3, I'm not
sure I'll want to see it.
