Has anyone else seen the trailer to Zombie's Halloween sequel? Personally, the
whole concept of bringing Mrs. Myers back as a ghost is a completely lame
reasoning. In an interview Zombie said that this is going to be done the way
that he invisioned it compared to how the remake was shot. The remake itself was
way too long, spent too much time on the backstory and by the time the second
half came around, it was pretty much a scene for scene remake, which showed no
originality. There is no need for a sequel so I will be skipping this one.
Hopefully he will go back to the dark, gritty, exploitations that he does an
awesome job with after this one.
A remake/reboot/rehash/whatever.... yawn. I don't care. I don't want to see the Halloween remake or anything to do with it, including a prequel or a sequel.
The list of upcoming movies to be remade is truly sickening. Hollywood is getting none of my money until they start making some changes.

The H2 trailer doesn't look too promising, especially bringing back Michael's mother as a 'spirit' in ghost make-up, advising her son as he continues his evil quest. Sequels to films that were remakes are often quite bizzare and are usually greeted with a measure of confusion. Firstly, audiences will wonder if the 'sequel' is a remake of the original sequel (sounds like a tongue-twister!!). Secondly, while the 'remake' is usually a guaranteed box office success and alreadly has a built-in fanbase because of its ties to the 'original' film, a sequel to the remake must depend on only the popularity of the remake. Thirdly, it's all too confusing! When people talk about the film, are they speaking of Halloween 2 or the 'original' Halloween 2 (that don't sound right...an original sequel???).
