I agree.  That doesn't make sense.  If he was a good person, falsely accused, why not "go to the light" and move on?  Why stay and become they monster they thought he was? I, of course, feel there is only ONE Freddy Krueger. Supposidly, the story this time is that Freddy is falsely accused of molesting a child and is killed by the parents. Honestly, that kills the whole idea of Freddy being scary and dirty. I hate movies that try to make you feel remorse for a killer. It tones down the frightening aspect of the character and creates a film that is no longer a horror movie. I don't want a movie where you feel sorry for Freddy; I want a movie where you fear him. That's why I'll always stick with the original and avoid this piece of garbage.
