Nightmare on Elm Street Remake   Message List

I read the plot line for the Nightmare on Elm Street remake on a message board.

"Fred Krueger is a gardener at a preschool, who is accused of child molestation.
He is then burned alive by the parents of the kids who accused him. Then, when
the children are 18, he seeks his revenge. Only is Freddy really guilty of these
crimes or is he possibly seeking justice for being falsely accused?"

All I can say is that this kills the dark image that the original Freddy carried
with him. In the original Nightmare, he was a filthy child murderer but in this
one, he might be innocent? But then again, it's Michael Bay. I think that
explains itself.

My thoughts on the NOES remake: The only way it could really work without Robert Englund is to make a new character inspired by the 'Freddy Kruger' of old....

What?! Sean Penn in a 3 Stooges film? I could probably have seen this in 1982 (maybe) when he was actually cool as Jeff Spicoli, though he might have the right...
