Having problems with message search?
I think that today's generation of horror fans still crave the SAW series. They'll keep making them as long as there's money to be made. Personally, I think that once Jigsaw was parodied in Scary Movie 4, you really can't take him serious anymore.
On another topic, did any of you see TCM: The Beginning? Talk about the most mean-spirited film ever made. The original Leatherface had a depth of emotions, including fear, remorse and care for his kin. Bill's Leatherface was a child-like romantic, filled with human thoughts and made the audience care for him. This latest incarnation is just plain mean, sick and totally one dimensional. At the "dinner scene" he simply slits a girl's throat and has her bleed all over the table. If the Cook had been there he would have scolded his brother for messing up the dinner table. The ending is completely downbeat, leaving the audience depressed. At least the '03 remake had an exciting conclusion, where the victim gets a bit
of revenge.Heck, even Last House on The Left had a the bad guys get what they deserved in the end. This crap made me really hate the new Leatherface even more!
