I'm still searching for more info on this, because this came from a
very unreliable source. I'll post more if I come across on if this
is true or not. Let's keep our fingers crossed that it is.

The budget for the prequel was 16 million. The total gross for the
prequel was $39,511,038. The gross from the remake was $80,148,231.

... Any idea why? What are some of the numbers from the last TCM movie (cost, sales, etc)? Do they consider the last one to be "a success"? I'm just thinking...

Its high time the series stopped. If you ask me, what they did was a bastardizing of the entire genre. They are trying to turn Leatherface into another...

I think that they need to be finished with "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre." I enjoyed the remake, but "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre - The Beginning" was so so....
