The Future of Music: Challenges and Opportunities in the Digital Age
of Music

Have the music companies found a way to harness the power of the
digital age to bring music to more consumers than ever before, or are
they hopelessly behind as technology make record labels obsolete?
Does technology create more opportunities and independence for
musicians to make their own brand of music, or does the sheer volume
of music on the internet make it harder than ever to be heard? Join
Harvardwood and our panelists, Robert Kraft, President of Fox Music,
Diarmuid Quinn, Executive Vice President Warner Bros. Records, Ted
Mico, Senior Vice President, Strategic Marketing for Capitol Records,
and Jay Cooper, Entertainment Partner at Greenberg, Traurig, P.A. as
we explore these issues and more over brunch on Saturday September 30
from 11AM-2PM as the WGA West 7000 W. Third St.; log on to
www.harvardwood.org for more details and tickets.

Harvardwood is pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Harvardwood Seminar
Series, running 11AM-2PM each Saturday, September 9 - September 30, at
the Writers Guild of America, West in Los Angeles. The goal of the

entertainment. We had a very popular and successful series last
September and hope to build on that success this year. Please join us
as we explore the issues shaping the film, music, and television
industries with alumni and guest speakers. HSS is open to the public,
and your purchase is your confirmation (we cannot hold seats without
payment). Free parking is available under the WGA building. Brunch
is included.
