AFTER INNOCENCE has been short-listed for the 2006
Academy Awards. It tells the dramatic story of the exonerated --
innocent men wrongfully imprisoned for decades and released after DNA
proves their innocence. The film premiered at the 2005
Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Special Sundance Jury Award.

Jessica
Sanders is an Academy Award-nominated filmmaker who works in fiction
and non-fiction productions. She produced the film Sing! which received
Oscar and Emmy nominations in 2002 and aired nationally on PBS. Her
previous film, Los Angels, a narrative film that she wrote,
produced,
and directed, played at numerous festivals and received the Gold Plaque
Award at the Chicago International Festival, the Lagniappe Best Short
Film at the New Orleans Festival, among other awards. Sanders was an
Associate Producer on the 2003 Oscar Winning Documentary Short Film
Twin Towers and Series Associate Producer and Camera Operator on Dick
Wolf's NBC documentary series Crime & Punishment. Sanders is an
alumna of the Independent Feature Project's Project Involve and the
filmmaker Producer's Lab, where she is among a select group of
filmmakers chosen to develop Independent film projects. Sanders is
currently developing documentary and narrative feature film projects.
