Hi Bill, I was beginning to think I'd never get a reply b/c of how
old the film is... the other film you suggested 'Beautiful Thing" sounds
like an awesome movie too. I must say that the character in 'Get Real'
that I have the biggest crush on, based on looks, was John (Brad
Gorton). Based on strength and integrity it was Ben hands down. And I do
agree that the ladies of the film did an amazing job as well... I
especially loved the character of Linda, being a big girl myself I know
what she was going through and this movie helped me to say, so what who
cares what other people think as long as I'm happy! Well, I'm not
sure that I mentioned it in my 'newbie' post but I am a straight female
but I do enjoy movies that go beyond the expected and push the edge of
the envelope, as it were. I enjoy the life struggles movies because I
think as we get older, we tend to forget that every day is a struggle in
the world we live in now. If you said every day was an easy day....
you'd be lying to yourself, yah know? Anyhow, I am a little perplexed as
to what you mean.... If you knew what I am about??? Can you elaborate on
that for me? I'd sure appreciate it, it would help me answer your
question better. I didn't know Ben was Jewish, I'm half Jewish but don't
really practice it. I think Ben is more handsome now and in 'Get Real'
than I thought some of his younger performaces. But that is just my
opinion. I like to watch the aging process, I think people are amazing
beautiful creatures and I don't think they should be tampered with.
Anyhow, I ramble so you'll have to pardon me for that. I am happy to be
a part of this group and I'm sure I'll enjoy it there. I'm including a
picture of myself so that you may see who you're talking to... I always
enjoy putting a face with a name and would hate to deprive someone else
of that luxury. So here you go: Let me know if I get too brazen or
outspoken; I am an extremely honest person by nature. It was nice

There were two videos at the same time from the brits that were the most
moving I have ever seen, that toally changed my feelings about my self
that I had carried for 25 years.
The other you may want to see is "Beautiful Thing" In thew struggle to
accept yourself and have the world accept you likewise. As For get Real,
I had a crush on Mark for a time. But I want to say that the girls in
the video were extremely good actresses, the girl next door and the girl
that fell inlove with Steven.
