I loved the original BR2, though no doubt there were
many problems with it. I thought Revenge did a lot to
make the film much more enjoyable, and ironically, I
felt like the pacing of the film was better in this
version, even though it was longer. I thought
character development for many of the characters was
better, though Taku remains pretty much the same, some
of the lesser characters are improved upon.

No doubt, BR 2 Revenge is the better version.
