Hello Barbarella fans

The Barbarella web site http://membres.lycos.fr/angel/Barbarella/ has been in
action since December 27, 1996. That free site was never designed to make money.
It was designed for fun. Sales of movies and posters from that site were meant
to support the web site. Contrary to the expectations of some members who asked
me how much money is this web site raking, sufficient revenue to support that
web site has not been generated.

On October 8 I announced that on the web site, on the right side on top, I
started a drive to collect $1.00 per Barbarella member or visitor. I asked for
only 1$ because I was counting on many people making a very small donation. That
drive has netted the fabulous amount of $1.00. Paypal has notified me that I
need to become a paying member to collect the $1.00 donated; otherwise they will
refund to the donor the $1.00 on December 4th. I do not feel that is cost
efficient for me to become a paying member of PayPal to collect $0.93 (PayPal
get $0.07)

The Barbarella site cannot ad more material, get internationalized in several
languages or get rid of advertising from Lycos France without purchasing the
Barbarella domain. We have over 530 members plus 1000 of visitors. I was hoping
that $1.00 would not have been too much to donate. I am not planning to become
rich. The money you give will be well spent on the Barbarella site.
