perhaps someone knows another group owner/moderator who could help?

Yes, it is terrible, I hope Yahoo sorts out their problems at this
group and elsewhere! Audrey's Place is eight years old, it would be
sad if new members won't be able to join anymore. What's important is
that Audreyfave isn't willingly absent.

Hello folks,
I watched a movie titled " Me, you and Dupree" Matt Dillon was
acting. It is a new movie.
In this movie the guy called Dupree watching Rome Holiday and audrey
hepburn..And the guys are talking about her. Dupree says " nowaday
there is no one like audrey hepburn"
maybe you wonder this movie and take a look at..on DVD or whatever..

The Fabulous Audrey Hepburn, indeed. It's where I go for news breaks
on Audrey. Excellent place to keep abreast with what's happening in
Audrey's world, for a flashback on her life, I visit Berurya1's
library, a magnificent magazine articles collection. It's better than
Spoto's bio that to me is mostly pastche. Very grateful to you
ladies.
Incidentally, I'm sure Audreyphiles will be delighted with this last
line from a NYT review on the recent bios of the two Hepburns:
"Of the two Hepburns, she (Audrey) was the one who remained
undevoured by her own persona, the one marked out for a sadder life
but a better last reel."

I definitely wouldn't stop the news! I just thought it would be nice
to have the news articles in a place where people could comment on
them, so I don't feel like I'm talking to myself, and because there
were so many updates that it was taking the index page forever to
load. I've tried to make the new site easy on any connection, too.
My boyfriend/collaborator keeps yelling at me for not having the news
on the index page. What do you think?

Speaking of website makeovers, another site that I just noticed has
been updated is The Audrey Hepburn Library
(http://audreyhepburnlibrary.com/). I think the webmaster EB is a
member here so thank you! :) There is a message on the site saying
there's a new book section, which I'll have to go check out thoroughly
soon. Also there are now thumbnails of the articles in the galleries,
which makes for easier browsing. Good news!
FabAudrey, nice new look and URL! :) I've always liked your site,
especially your reviews. For a while there I thought you had stopped
writing the news updates that used to be on the index page, but I'm
glad to notice you've just moved them.

Do You Yahoo!?
Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around
http://mail.yahoo.com
The Fabulous Audrey Hepburn (Fab Audrey), has moved to a bigger and
better home! We also have a much easier domain name, www.fabaudrey.com
While it's still a work in progress and probably always will be, the
site is much more interactive, with fans being able to leave their
opinions on Audrey news and write and post reviews on her books, films
and other related products. Best of all, there will be regular
contests! The first contest starts October 3rd, where you can enter to
win a copy of "The Audrey Hepburn Treasures," the latest Sean Ferrer
book on his mum.
Let us know what you think of it, what needs improving, and what needs
to be erased pronto. ;) You help make the site what it is!
Don't forget the fact that he closed the Pavilion and took the items
that had been on display there and turned it into a traveling exhibit
that he charges admission for.
Speaking of which, that exhibit was supposed to come to American this
year after two years in Japan, and I haven't heard anything about it.
Has anyone else?
Lastly, has anyone read Donald Spoto's book yet? It seems Sean worked
with him quite a bit on it, though he's not always referred to by name.

I really should hate the commercial and advertisements. I know I
should.
But I don't.
I've actually only seen the TV commercial once, and while it's true
that Audrey shouldn't be reduced to a "pants saleperson"--she's just
so goshdarn cute dancing around on the TV, I can't help but smile.
And my heart is filled with glee every time I pass the Gap and see her
smiling face all over the place.

This article, "Biographer fears Hepburn revival feeds false image"
written by Belinda Goldsmith for Reuters
(http://news.scotsman.com/latest.cfm?id=1431952006), speaks for me.
It rings loud and clear what I think of Mr. Ferrer, the son, who
declared he was protecting his mother's legacy.
First, he sold his mother's house La Paisible; next, he forced the
shutdown of the Audrey Hepburn Pavilion which the Swiss community of
Tolochenaz put up in what could have been a lasting tribute to his
mother. His rationale? The pavilion has become too commercialized!
The exhibits of the pavilion, however he utilizes for his own
exhibit. In his quest for personal gain, look what he has come up
with, a commercial in which his mother sells pants. This is to
protect Audrey Hepburn's memory, her legacy? I guess I place Audrey
Hepburn high up on a pedestal.

pants
How many of you have seen the commercial? What do you think? What's
your own opinion? I'm curious because there are those who like it
and those who don't. True, I'd like to see more of Audrey Hepburn
but I'd prefer to see her in ads with some class befitting her
image. The LA Times carries an article titled "Love it or hate it:
A 'Fair Lady' in Gap's skinny pants". Among other things, it cites
Sean Ferrer's involvement in the making of the ad.
From the article:
Some love the spot; some are appalled that a dead Hollywood icon is
being used to sell skinny black pants. "The Gap should be ashamed of
themselves," wrote one commenter on ThirdWay Advertising Blog. "It's
a desperate attempt by a desperate company to align itself with
someone classy."
"I wanted to like it," posted another, "but at the end was just too
offended by the reincarnation of Audrey Hepburn as a pants salesman."

I saw the commercial and was a little shocked by it, it was nice to
see Audrey on the 'little screen' mind you but I felt it was odd that
she was playing to a 'skipping' version of ACDC's Back in Black...
i agree, she has (had?) too much class for any kind of commercial

Personally I didn't find anything wrong with the
comercial. I found it very cute. But I can see why you
are upset.

Hi, y'all! I just wanted to share this...It's killed women as young as 16.
Please share this with all the women in your life! (I also found it on
youtube.com at the following link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AmP5QuGc-PE<http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AmP5Qu\
Gc-PE> Take care, Liz
Please take a moment and watch this.. IMPORTANT -- I have had too many loved
ones die from cancer to not pass this along... WATCH THE VIDEO.
This is another type of BC that I didn't know about. I'm going to send you an
e-mail about the center of the universe. You will know a teacher who could
benefit from having this. I can remember some kids who couldn't read well but
would have learned the words to the song quickly and could have used the info in
class. Libby
