Welcome to 'A Screenwriters Workshop.'
This is a non-threatening group where beginning and experienced screenwriters can have their work critiqued by their peers. There are no restrictions, however I Do ask that you try and submit a few scenes and or critique someone else’s work at least once a month and participate in some discussions. The groups survival really does depend on all of our participation.
Scene submissions should be limited to 1 to 5 pages when possible. You can place your scenes in the SCENES folder located in the Files section. If you want to upload your entire screenplay you can do so in the SCREENPLAYS folder.
I post a logline once a week for those who want to participate. Those scenes go in the PRACTICE SCENES folder. When the week is up they will be moved to the OLD PRACTICE SCENES folder which will get emptied every so often.
When giving feedback please try to be courteous and point out both the positive as well as the negative and only give constructive criticism. The object is to critique the material not the screenwriter. Feedback should never be personal.
Feel free to ask questions or bring up new topics for discussion. Also when you have time please take a moment to introduce yourself to group.
Your hosts,
Dan Guardino & Zac Sanford
