Hey everyone, I have posted lots of dvd vidcaps off Anna as the
Baroness in Chitty Bang Bang, Come have a look..been a long time

Sounds like Yahoo made a royal mess of your site, which is a real
shame, considering how much work you've put into it! My Anna Held
site is moderated, so I feel the damage to my site may be only Yahoo-
related and minimal--that bright idea of their's to reformat the
photo section, which in Yahoo-fashion went haywire. Regarding
spammers, I would let them in, but they also burst in without any
intro or respect for your group, so who cares about them. Right?

Glad you saw The Brothers Grimm. Wasn't it misleading that you read
the fairytale blurbs on the back of the dvd case, see this intriguing
beauty on the cover, and end up witnessing a "shock fest" in many
ways? BTW, Monica Bellucci is in "She Hate Me," wherein she's allowed
to retain her beauty :-)

Back to Anna(Who else?)I admit to watching CCBB multiple times as
well, and totally agree with your thoughts. My breaking point would
be when she sticks her leg up while reclining on that table, and she
runs tickling fingers down that lovely limb! I think it was
calculated by the director that a huge, sparkling "diamond" was
placed on that gloved pinky, and right on that thigh-high garter. I
also think that crown she wears is a major device to draw attention
to her hair and face, and ultimately, her bosom. What Baroness would
wear a crown, in true historical terms? The crown is shown regally
placed upon Anna's luscious hardo, only to be knocked askew when the
Baron sends her down that coal shute. After being such a coward, the
Baroness should have realized her love was missplaced and gone on to
greener pastures. Such is the art of film, I suppose!

Yahoo seems to have corupted some of the pics I had as they changed
there photo format. I have the pics somewhere on cd so I will have to
find them and put them back up.

It all makes me wonder how Anna Quayle the person felt as her
character went downhill. Of course, it's only fiction, but how would
an obviously beautiful and sexy woman feel to be thrown around and
rejected, constantly subjected to humiliating destruction of her
glamorous costumes, makeup, hair, etc. Of course, she must have been
in on the secret of, "Why am I the erotic highlight of a kid's
movie?" I agree with you regarding the last scene of her locked in
that cage, her hairdo falling apart and soot on her cheeks. What man
wouldn't push through the jeering crowd and rescue her? By the way, I
think this must have been the acting job of his life for Mr Fromme.

I've seen that Bewitched episode on the old Nick at Night, and it was
quite memorable. Samantha wiggles her nose so that a dog will grab a
strand of Nancy's dress, which spins her around until she's down to
her underwear. I also remember her black wig falling off to reveal a
tight bun of blonde hair, then her running to her father in a
frantically embarassed state.

Bill, get the "Brothers Grimm" dvd. Monica Bellucci plays a Queen who
loses, regains and loses again, her spectacular beauty in some very
frightening ways. Too bad; I know the film code still dictates that
evil has to lose. Anyway, tell me what you think.

the film, so the final scene is all the more improbable. Her lovely
face stained with soot, and her elaborate hairdo wrecked, she still
pines for the Baron in that humiliating cage.

In real life, the Dick Van Dyke character would release lovely and
leggy Anna from that cage. whisking her away from the Baron and a
very wooden Sally Ann Howes. Think this fantasy crossed his mind
during that final scene?
