Fergil asks "How far done is the film? 80%? 90%? 10%?"
Thanks for asking!
Final animation is at 80 minutes (I'm sooooooo sick of animating hundreds of
nightgaunts!), which represents, well, about 80% of the 98 minutes of the
film. However, it should be noted that the last 4 minutes are credits, and
will probably all be rendered in a single evening, so that leaves 14
minutes. At breakneck speed, that's about three weeks. If I could get more
helpers, I could probably knock it down to two.
Once that's done, it'll be about a week of noodling to get a final VHS copy
so the composer can properly sync her music with the scenes. During that
time, I'll be doing foley like crazy. Once the foley and music are in
there, the movie is done-done-done.
Then I work on something new!
We have been contacted by a distributor, expressing an interest in carrying
Dream-Quest commercially in Canada and the US. Very exciting!
shaky animatin' monkey,
Edward
