If you make movies, particular fan type genre movies (sci-fi,
fantasy, horror, or just plain weird), and you're in the pacific
Northwest, may I invite you to check out the fandance Film festival,
now entering our TENTH YEAR as a fantastic place for fans to get
together and show their movies and to have a great time.
The Fandance Film Festival is the final piece of the Let's Make a
Movie workshop at Norwescon, which walks participants through all
stages of making a movie, from gear introduction, through story
development, scriptwriting, props, sets, locations, shooting,
editing and then the cherry on top. Also celebrating its tenth
anniversary, the Let's Make a Movie workshop is a unique experience,
a soup-to-nuts filmmaking bit of madness (and yes, we finish a movie
at the end of every workshop -- in time for participants to make the
dances, the masquerades, and most anything else they want to do).
