is 8th Degree Associate Master, Doreen Cogliandro.
Ms. Cogliandro has helped run many of Ed Paker's Long Beach IKC
tournaments.  She has also run one of the most successful tournaments
on the east coast, which was the Boston Internationals last year.
She has also helped coordinate tournaments in Europe as well.


Another special guest and Judge is, 6th Degree Professor Zack
Whitson.  Mr. Whitson also holds Guro ranking in Pekiti-Tirsia.
Mr. Whitson along with his continued studies in the Martial arts, is
also is a Knife maker and owner of  Iron Mountain Knives.
Mr. Whitson will have his knives on display and for sale the day of

Kenpo, in my opinion is more complete than other
martial arts because use the logic and the cience to
teach you how to defend against somebody. When you try
to fix something you use logic and cience not your
brutal strenght. Kenpo is like the Mercedez of the
Martial Arts, it is more sophisticated.

I will make some research and will try to find a good
kenpo school for you.

I enjoy hearing about people and all.  I studied
psychology in college.  I would like to further it,
but now it is not a good time in my life.  Mr.
Speakman is also from the Chicago area.  I am
interested in finding someone here that teaches Kenpo
and not a water down version of it.  When I took it in
another state here.  The man who taught us was first
generation Ed Parker.  However, I came to find out he
was teaching me his own version.  I enjoyed it very
much.  I checked out the websites you gave me.  I
didn't find anyone near me that teaches true kenpo.  I
didn't know if you have any other contacts in the
kenpo realm.  I have been out of the circle of kenpo
for about ten years.  So I don't remember any of the
names anymore.  I would appreciate any help you can
give me.  I would love to see Mr. Speakman in Las
Vegas.  I haven't trained for such a long time.  I
don't have my equipment any more.  Talk to you soon.

My experience in Kenpo is that is street fighting.  It
gives you more realistic tools to use.  I am not
putting down other disciplines.  I have found that
Aikido takes you longer to master.  I don't know of
any in Houston.  I live in Chicago and am looking for
one here.

I don´t live in USA, I live in La Paz Bolivia
Southamerica. I´ve learned Kenpo in Chile, and
Argentina, then I met Mr. Speakman in 99. Now am
fallowing him every where and go to his camp or his
home to take lessons whith mr. Speakman at least once
a year since then.

Well Mr. Speakman is the kindest person I´ve ever met
in my life he is a true master, not only because he´s
proficient in kenpo but in every aspect of his life he
allways doing his best effort.

Well I hope that our new friendship help you to train
again this wonderfull art.

Thank you so much for replying back.  Thank you for
the information also.

Wow it probably was a great pleasure to learn from
him.  I use to take kenpo in Ohio.  I learned from a
guy who was first generation Ed Parker.  As I came to
find out I wasn't learning true exact Kenpo.  I was
learning his version of it.  I would like to take it
again from someone else.  I currently live in Memphis,
Tn, but we are moving back to Chicago, Il.
Do you live in the United States?  Did you take it
here?

If you don't mind could you expound more on what Jeff
is like?

For those who may not know , as well as the new memebers, it is my
Daughter and I who started this club, and who maintian it as best we
