Welcome to our group!!! Here is Andy in "Hope for Haiti Now" a Global Benefit For Earthquake Relief telethon on Jan 22, 2010. Andy received the Joseph Plateau Honorary Award at the Ghent Film Festival in Belgium on 16 Oct 2009. His new movie City Island was screened in Deauville, France and he received a special tribute award. City Island will be released in the US on 19 Mar 2010. We are a group of people who admire Andy's works. He is a great actor, a great director and a great musician. Come join us if you want to know more about him. "Hi, I am Andy Garcia. I am the actor and director of the film The Lost City. Since I was a very young man, I had a very profound nostalgia for the country that I was born in. The music of that country has been a constant companion of mine. I was always fascinated by telling the story setting against the turbulence times of what happened in Cuba in the late 1950's using music and dance as the metaphor and protagonist of the film. This movie reflects my life's joy, my dream and a 16 years' struggle to make it to the screen. I hope you enjoy it." Andy directed and starred in the movie.

Andy is working in a movie called Hemingway and Fuentes,. Anthony Hopkins will play Hemingway and Andy will play Fuentes who is the captain of the fishing boat. Andy has co-written the script and will direct the movie as well. Andy's new movie City Island has been screened in the Berlin Film Festival, Filmart in Hong Kong,Tribeca film festival in New York, Deauville in France, Rio in Brazil and Ghent in Belgium . The DVD of Beverly Hills Chihuahua has been released in Mar 2009. The Pink Panther 2 was released as DVD in June 2009. It is great to see Andy in a comedy role.
