I can dig out my copy of the book, but, I know it says on the cover that it's
a novelization of the John Frankenheimer film. If yours doesn't say that, it
may not be the one based on the movie that Andy was in.

I can't find anything since I moved, and I've got about 50 boxes of books (no exaggeration!), so it's not likely that I will find my Andersonville book anytime...

"Andersonville" by Mackinley Kantor is a really thick book...about 760 pages of the actual story. People might wonder why I would buy a +700 paged book, but...
