any chance of a link to the ad?

I could be wrong but I swear that the new McCain Oven Fries TV Ad in
the UK has Amanda Ryan in it at the end.
The theme of the add is: 'Heaven is'. I've been trying to record it
but never manage to catch it. Can you all keep an eye out for it and
let me know if I'm right. I've definitely seen it on ITV and ITV2 and
possibly Five.
As usual, bonus point for screen capture or mpg of the ad.
Cheers
Dave
Hi everyone! I'm Shannon, from Virginia. I really like Amanda Ryan, I've
seen her in both series of The Forsyte Saga and Elizabeth. She's very unique
looking, and a good actress. I also just signed up to the Gina McKee and
Oliver Milburn fanlistings. :)
Stealing Lives certainly seems to have stired interest in Amanda
Ryan, we've had 6 new members since the program went to air last
night. Welcome all.
So what did everyone think of Stealing Lives?
The production company was StoneCity - they have some info, an Amanda
thumbnail, and a clip (without Amanda in it) at:
http://www.stonecity.co.uk/productions.html
their description of the program:
A powerful factual drama about the most audacious identity fraud scam
this decade and the intense two-year investigation that brought it to
trial. In an era of electronic anonymity and rapidly escalating ID
crime, the story exposes the most sophisticated and distressing
features of this complex, multi-million pound scam. A worrying real-
life twenty-first century thriller.
also, verbatim from
http://www.in4mer.com/programming_c4.asp?period=tC4October
Stealing Lives [HWChil] - Don't Miss
Fact-based drama examining the growing problem of identity fraud -
one of Britain's fastest growing crimes - revealing how a group of
young Nigerian men, living in the UK for over 10 years, set up a
complex multi-million pound scam involving stealing the identities of
dozens of people. By opening up hundreds of bank and building society
accounts in the victims' names they withdrew the most money possible,
leaving the victims with a legacy of bad debt.
To explore this growing problem, Stealing Lives tells the story of a
police investigation into a trail of shattered lives and defrauded
banks which led to a gang of compulsively driven young men, and a
young policewoman from Essex who spent two years doggedly pursuing a
case against them. The clever, charming leader of the gang first
laughingly dismissed her and then threatened her to breaking point.
Behind the drama lie the fundamental aspects of identity. From the
anonymous IT statistics we've all become on the screens of big
institutions, to the culture-clash between economically excluded
African nations and the exploitable debt-culture of the West. Through
the details of this extraordinary case, the film questions how we
define ourselves and what makes us who we are.
The film reveals how the scam was perpetrated and explores the
motivations that led the offenders to commit such an audacious crime.
Events are based on actual incidents recorded on police statements
and court records.
Amanda Ryan is featuring quite heavily in the adverts for channel 4's
forthcoming 'Stealing Lives' to be shown at 22:00 on tuesdays.
Nothing on channel 4 website under search for 'Stealing Lives', but
the TV Listings for next tuesday include:
22:00 Stealing Lives [subtitles]
A gripping, fact-based drama about one of the fastest-growing crimes
in Britain today: identity fraud.
I noticed in the advert for it that Amanda seems to be using a
strong accent - possibly Northern.
I'm sure we'd all be interested if anyone discovers more information -
so keep your eyes peeled...
You'll want to see her play Musidora in 'The Hunger' then ...

been trying to find this on DVD for ages - only seems to be on VHS
(which I've got, but no VHS player) - might buy an only VHS player
just to rip this onto DVD (and do some screen captures)

Man, this woman is HOT!!
I first saw her in the TV series attachments and then in the
movie 'Metroland' with Christian Bale.
If this actress does not get more & better parts in the future it
would be a CRIME :o)
I also really like Nora-Jayne Noone (from the movie: The Magdalene
Sisters)
Maybe some of you will too?

Yeah - wierd character, but well performed.
I've been trying to get my PVR working (DVB capture card in a PC) -
it's a bit temperamental but I managed to 'record' several chunks of
the episode. I'll try to get some good screen captures this weekend
and upload them :)
Oh gawd, does this show [the new adventures of robin hood]look
corny.Anyway, there is a site dedicated to that show, and there are
screen caps,sound files[two with Amanda].

indeed - apparently Amanda was in the Murphy's Law trailer that aired
yesterday (right at the very start), for the episode tonight (that's
9pm Monday 10th May on BBC1). Not sure if she's actually in tonights
episode or not, but it's usually pretty good anyway so probably worth
a watch.

Cheers Damien that would be really good if you can, look forward to seeing them.
I agree with you, she hasn't appeared in too much that I have seen, which is a shame as she has very obvious talent.

haven't seen it yet - but intend to - I did get a VHS tape of The
Hunger that she's in, but haven't got a VHS player :( - as soon as I
sort one out I'll grab a few screen shots.
I think we should have a reward system for getting screen shorts or
short movie grabs of Amanda... I suggest:
A Bronze Star for screen shots from a movie.
A Silver Star for video clips from a movie.
A Silver Star for screen shots from an advert.
A Gold Star for video of an entire advert.
and
A Platinum Star for any Real-Life photos or video of Amanda

it's a pleasure :)
Amanda is the one on the far left (from our point of view) of a shop
counter. Her colleague discretely places a Malteser on the counter
top and uses the counter-top fan to blow the Malteser over toward
Amanda. It stops half way, but as the fan twists back to face down
the counter the Malteser gets an extra burst and make it to Amanda.
She eats - they laugh.
Must say that Amanda's hair is a little severe in this add - but I
guess that's the "style" of the shop she's supposed to be serving in.
Gold star to anyone who manages to get a screen shot of Amanda in
this add.
I was suprised to not find any sites dedicated to this fantastic
actress, so here's a seed. Hopefully other people who enjoy Amanda
Ryan's work will gravitate here and it may grow into an interesting
forum for Amanda Ryan news and discussion.
enjoy.
