Due to some unforeseen technical difficulties, Andy's website is
TEMPORARILY down.

Our provider is working hard to rectify the issues and will have the
site back up as soon as possible.

My apologies for any inconvenience this has caused anyone.

On a good note, it looks like Andy's independent film with Melissa
Joan Hart "Rent Control" may reach theaters in August!

Also, the made-for-tv movie "Seduced By Madness: The Diane Borchardt
Story" starring Ann-Margaret, with a small, but vitally important part
played by Andrew Kavovit, will be airing Sun. 6/9 at 4:30pm ET on the
Lifetime Movie Channel (probably only available to you satellite and
DirectTV watchers out there).

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Apologies to those of you who will get this twice...

First, I would like to announce that we have a new fan club coordinator...
<drumroll>

Michele <MicheleDeA@...> has taken over from Bonnie as our fan club point
of contact (Fan Club Coordinator is her "official" title). Bonnie will still
be working behind the scenes helping to maintain Andy's website (she does all
those wonderful goodies like the holiday greeting pages). Michele is also now
a moderator of this list. Since this is a "news only" list, moderators are
the folks who can actually post to it, so if you hear anything interesting
about Andy, you can let Michele know and she will share the news.

Also, there is a new mailing address for the fan club:

Andrew Kavovit Fan Club
859 Hollywood Way
PMB# 416
Burbank, CA 91505

Use this if you wish to send Andy cards or gifts. Please do not send fan
fiction (stories about Andy or his characters). This is a legal issue
involving copyrights that could cause problems not only for you but for other
writers as well.

Well, it's February. Hearts and flowers to everyone....

As far as I can tell, this is ANDY ON TV for February 2002:

Sunday, Feb 3 on TNT -- ANDERSONVILLE, wherein Andy plays Tobias, a young
Union soldier from Pennsylvania, who just keeps getting dirtier and dirtier
as the movie goes on. Awww.

Sunday, Feb 3 on Lifetime Movie Network at 8pm (repeated on Monday, Feb 4 at
9:30am) -- SEDUCED BY MADNESS, THE DIANE BORCHART STORY, wherein Andy plays
Jeb, a young employee at the local diner, who discovers the truth about a
murder.

Wednesday, Feb 6 on FX Network at 10pm -- MARRIED WITH CHILDREN ("Radio Free
Trumaine"), wherein Andy plays Mark, half of a college radio show duo bent
on freedom-of-speech and great ratings. Co-stars Keri Russell from FELICITY.

Wednesday, Feb 27 on Lifetime Television at 3pm -- TRIAL BY FIRE, wherein
Andy plays Kip, a troubled teenager infatuated with his pretty high school
teacher. Some of the shots during the opening montage are real home-movies
and pictures of Andy when he was a kid! Can you say cherubic?!

Saturday, Mar 9 on Lifetime Television at 7pm -- SEDUCED BY MADNESS, THE
DIANE BORCHART STORY, wherein Andy plays a young employee at the local diner
who fills ketchup bottles like nobody's business.

"Rat Race" is now out on video.

I hope I didn't miss anything. Check your local TV guide for exact times.
Please note Lifetime Movie Network is NOT the same channel as Lifetime
Television.

Happy Holidays everyone!!

This is just a reminder to you not to forget to leave a message on Andy's
Holiday page.

If you want, there is still time to send Andy a real Christmas card. You
can send it here:

    Andy Kavovit
    P.O. Box 1123
    Alameda, CA 94501-0115

For those of you thinking of sending a gift, we'd like to encourage a
donation to charity in Andy's name instead -- he really does appreciate these!

Finally, there is plenty of time to submit any Random Acts of Kindness
you've performed. Andy's idea was to encourage people, to really embrace
the true meaning of the holiday season, but I'm sure he'd love to hear about
anything you've done this past year!

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

I hope everyone had a safe, healthy, and happy remainder of the year!

Take care,

Just a heads up, folks.

According to the SciFi Channel's schedule, Andy's ep of THE BURNING ZONE
("The Last Endless Summer") will be airing this Sunday, December 2 at 1am.

I probably always say this, but I really enjoy this episode -- I think Andy
does a marvelous job with this character! Actually, I think of his
performance every time I give blood because his character mentions something
which relates to a question they always ask on the donation screening
questionnaire.

Hey all --

I spoke with Andy on Tuesday, and he did have a few bits of news to share. I
am sure there will be more later; we did talk for a while, but a lot of our
talk was, understandably, about the tragedy in New York.

Andy's production company, People Produce Films, has sold its first project
to Viacom!! They are all very excited, since the concept was homegrown and
rather personal to all involved. The project is a television series called
"Prodigy" -- it's a spy-thriller/adventure show which hints that the lead
may be the son of a famous gentleman-spy we all know. It's unclear at this
time how Viacom will proceed with the project, when they might film a pilot,
when they might present this to networks.

People Produce Films is also working to develop a feature film called "The
Rune Journey" about some very ancient runes from a forgotten civilization
discovered on an archeological dig. The runes are translated and tell tales
of mythic proportions. Andy said, "think Braveheart meets Harry Potter,"
but listening to him describe it, I couldn't help thinking, The Lord Of The
Rings meets Indiana Jones. We'll just have to wait and see.

As far as G-S.P.O.T. goes, the financial backing they thought they had fell
through yet again. But, they are not discouraged -- this is fairly typical
of independent films. Andy said they'd really rather do it all themselves
anyway, so they won't have to make compromises. They can cast who they want
and do it all their way. They have a really great cast signed on, committed
-- name veteran-actors as well as some up-and-coming ones seen on the WB --
so the film should make a good splash once it's made. I'll see if I can't
encourage Andy to sell some t-shirts in a fund raising effort: maybe some of
you would be interested? The film has a cool tag line, "G-S.P.O.T.: a
touching drama ... bursting with laughs."

No news on possible upcoming roles, but Andy tends not to say anything until
it's a sure thing. Keep your fingers crossed for something soon!

Good wishes to all,

Bonnie, AKFC

Dear all,

My heart goes out to everyone who has family or friends caught in the
devastation.

I know many of you are curious about Andy. He has recently been in New
York, but is now safely home in LA. All of his family are safe and
hopefully the friends he has not yet heard from will turn out to be safe as
well.

Andy expressed his deepest sympathy for everyone who has lost family or
friends today, and for all of us who cannot help but be affected by this
atrocity.

I hope that the spirit of kindness which Andy reminds us of each Christmas
has been rekindled today. There are many things to be done: give blood, if
you can, and remind others to do so; donations of all kinds (food, clothes,
money) to the Red Cross, I'm sure, would be greatly appreciated. Even if
all you can spare are good thoughts and prayers, those are very important
things, now more than ever.

Take care,

Bonnie, AFKC

Hey everyone!

I was just checking on Andy's website and noticed that there are only three
viewer comments about *Rat Race* and Andy's role in it. Now, I'm sure he's
going to be looking over there as soon as he has time, so it would be great
if there was more for him to read! I honestly can't believe only three of
you have seen this movie.

It's a funny, wild film with a great cast, premise, script, and ending! The
only down side was not having enough Andy screen-time. :-) I think he would
have done a fantastic job as one of the main characters. Well, maybe if
they do a sequel....

Anyway, if you've seen the movie, and saw Andy, go ahead and post a few
comments on his website!

Hey all! Here's are Andy's on-screen appearances for September...

Playing at a theater near you:

** "Rat Race"
Even the parts without Andy are worth watching according to other fanclub
members.
Has earned $8,110,038 so far at the box office, which puts it in the top
five for the summer!

On TV:

** Wednesday, September 5 at 4pm on VH1: "The David Cassidy Story" The VH1
website story tag reads, "He thought he loved us. But he was in a TV show
with his stepmother and might have been confused." ;-)

** Sunday, September 9 at noon Eastern on LIFETIME, "Trial By Fire" will
air. Andy is excellent in this!

Available for rental/purchase:

** "Andersonville" $17.99 from Amazon.com --

** "The Magnificent Seven" $12.99 from Amazon.com -- don't know if Andy gets
any profits from the sale, but I reckon he oughta --

Other stuff:

Feel free to write to HBO encouraging them to air "Lessons Learned"
Their website feedback form is -- http://rw.hbo.com/talktohbo/bin/talk-data.cgi

Estimated theater release date for "Rent Control" with Melissa Joan Hart and
Carmen Electra is May 2002.

The last I heard (which was before Andy went off on summer holiday),
principle filming on "G-SPOT" would begin later this month! Keep your
fingers crossed that all goes well and as planned.

Hey all. Sorry for the wrong date last weekend -- my bad.

*** Andy's ep of The Burning Zone "The Last Endless Summer" should be on
SciFi TONIGHT (Sunday/Monday) at 1am -- check the listings in your area.
This is one of my favorite Andy guest-spots and I think he does a terrific job!

Beyond that, just some minor news: Andy is skating for the summer, not
literally, but figuratively, just taking it easy. He tells me summer is
pretty light as far as auditions go. Looks like he MIGHT start filming on
"GSPOT" this fall -- keep your fingers crossed, as he's still very jazzed
about it.

He is bummed about the pilot of "Lessons Learned" not getting picked up. He
said cost was a major factor since audience testing seemed to go well. Andy
suggests we write to HBO and ask them to air, or release on video, the
pilot. They just might put it out there as a tv movie.

Hmm, what else.... I hear "Rat Race" is coming out this summer: Andy has a
VERY small part, shooting lasted just a day or two. But hopefully the movie
will be good anyway, not as good as if he'd been the lead, but then, you
know. <g>

There's still time to leave an entry on Andy's Birthday Message Board --
http://www.andykavovit.com/birthday/

And, there's still time to send him a birthday card via snail-mail:

   Andy Kavovit
   P.O. Box 1123
   Alameda, CA 94501-0115

I wish there was more news, like Andy beats out Brad Pitt for prime role and
becomes new box-office mega-star! Well, maybe some day....

Take care,

Magnificent Seven is currently scheduled on TNN for every Sunday in January
and February, but note that beginning next Sunday, the time will move from 5
to 4:00 pm Eastern, and it will move up another hour to 3:00 pm on February
11th. (Also remember that TNN often changes their schedule at the last
minute, so it's always a good idea to check your local TV listing).

The Trial: January 21 4pm est
Wagon Train Pt: January 28 4pm est

The URL is: http://www.andykavovit.com/kindness/

For those of you who joined the club this past year, Andy has made this an

be sending some special thank-yous to a few fan club members for their Random
Acts of Kindess. No idea what he has planned this year, but the last two
years, some people have recieved pretty nice things from Andy. Remember,

Also, if you have not sent Andy an on-line holiday greeting, you can do that

Both pages will be up until Januar 5th.

Andy recently returned from Hawaii where he filmed the pilot for what he
hopes will be come a weekly series on HBO. Andy plays Private Reilander in
the Vietnam War drama "Lessons Learned"

At this time, it is not certain that HBO will actually buy the series, so we
have to let them know that we want to see it!!! Please take some time to drop
a line to HBO and tell them we are looking forward to seeing Andy in Lessons
Learned and that we hope they will be adding it to their line-up. The
decision will be made in the next 3-4 weeks, so the time to do this is NOW!
The people to contact are:

Chris Albrecht (President of HBO)
Carolyn Strauss (Senior VP)
Michael Hill (VP of Production)

The address for HBO is:

HBO
Building 1100
Avenue of the Americas
New York, NY 10036

Their phone number is (310) 201-9300

Remember that each handwritten letter will represent the opinion of 100
viewers, so every letter you send will count!

Last, but not least, The Magnificent Seven will be returning to TNN next
Sunday (December 10th). It's scheduled for 5 pm Eastern time, but TNN has
done last-minute schedule changes a few times in the past, so check your
local listings to be sure! If you would like to let TNN know how much you
enjoy this wonderful western series (and Andy!), write to them at:

The National Network
685 Third Ave, 20th Floor
New York, NY 10017

If you have any questions, please contact Bonnie <paloma@...> or
me. Remember, you cannot post to this list by hitting "reply" because this is
a one-way list ;-D

Feel free to pass this inforamtion along, and have fun preparing for the
Holidays!

A group of Andy's fans are working on what looks like a fun project - a
"memory book" for Andy that will be from his fans. Some of the ideas they
have are pages dedicated to each of his characters (including an
episode-by-episode section for Magnificent Seven), a fan photo collection,
fan's thoughts on the various roles Andy has played, and a fan fiction
collection.

They have started a list which you can join by going to:
www.egroups.com/group/creative-connection

The project is being organized by Lynda <indaree@...> so you can
e-mail her if you need more information. ;-D

> A fan picture page- pics of fans so Andy can match name w/face.
> M7 pages episode by episode- fave quotes, screen captures of fave scenes,
> questions we would have liked to ask characters, bloopers, etc.
> collages
> JD stories- maybe one from each AU. Other character stories. Except
> for David Cassidy story and Confronting Brandon. Maybe we could come
> with something else for these.
> A list of M7 or Andy sites. More for the fans than for Andy.
> It's also been suggested that we make a page for anyone who wants to help.
