The epic parody film "The DORK of the Rings" (currently in
post-prodution) has garnered international attention, with the film's
trailer and documentary, "The Making of MUDDLE-Earth", to be screened
at RingCon in Germany this Fall.
Recently the cast and crew made a huge splash at GenCon in
Indianapolis (where Randolph the Wizard's costume won their Staff
Choice Award); and at Elf:Weekend of Wonder, in Orlando. At both
GenCon and Elf they screened behind-the-scenes clips and had a
discussion panel with the stars and crew. Co-director Jack Peterson
(no relation) was busted schmoozing with ELIJAH WOOD, and was happy to
do a photo op with him, which can be seen on his Weekly Blog at the
film's website: www.dorkoftherings.com
They also spoke with "Samwise" SEAN ASTIN about the movie and, once
final visual effects are completed (i.e., the post-production) will be
passing along a press kit to RICHARD TAYLOR through a wonderful WETA
contact they've made.
Next stop for the filmmakers and stars of "DotR" will be at The One
Ring Celebration in Pasadena next January, where they'll be showing
more clips and do another panel. The finished film is slated to be
released the Summer of 2006.

and dedication, and just some really cool things to see and do, please

That looks cool, but it seems to me more interesting for those who have joined the LOTR conventions and all. Not sure I feel like spending money in a documentary about the fans.

<<They might look good, but the actors working on hit series Lost apparently smell really, really bad. Dominic Monaghan admits he loves working on the series, but says it's not as glamorous as it looks. "Obviously, the characters have no real showering system on the island," explains Dominic. "I think I've only changed, like, three times on the island. We're stinky, but we live with it. It's part of the charm of the Lost cast. You bring visitors on set, and they're very excited to see everyone - until they get within three or four feet. Then they realise we all stink.">>
First of all, for the frenchies of us, Canal+ is airing LA TRANCHEE, movie starring Andy Serkis. Check out your tv mags for all the re-airdates. I've watched it, strange movie, I'm not sure I got the point, I'm still wondering who or what has killed all the soldiers. Is it the german soldier that Charlie saved ? Doesn't make much sense but that's a horror movie. Anyway, Andy Serkis plays the bad guy and he's good at being nuts and screaming. *g*

<<Piracy has the very real potential of tipping movies into becoming an unprofitable industry, especially big-event films," Jackson said by e-mail from New Zealand, where he is putting the final touches on his version of "King Kong." "If that happens, they will stop being made. No studio is going to finance a film if the point is reached where their possible profit margin goes straight into criminals' pockets.>>
Have I said that the first season of LOST has ended on the french televison ? Stupid channel doesn't air Six Feet Under anymore, so please what am I supposed to watch now ? *sniffles*
