Hi Mina!!
I loved "King Kong" a great deal too. Especially the romance, which I felt was totally genuine and believable, and Naomi Watts was very very good. It was just a terrific doomed romance, placing an emphasis on the concept of doomed and primal love that I totally adore.
Does anybody know what PJ is up to next?
By the way I saw "Heavenly Creatures" a few months ago and I LOVED it. Best movie of the 90s maybe.

Asunto: Re: [AHT] King Kong Hi Javier,I loved King Kong. I am a fan of the remake produced in 1976, which I thought was very emotional, though Jessical Lange's character is one of the stupidest ever created... I loved Peter Jackson's version even more and cried at many times. But there's one thing that should have been avoided. The characters, especially Ann Darrow, weren't hurt enough. Ann should have died a million time, she's got the strongest spinal column I've ever seen. Didn't like the first "big" scene with the dinosaures chase. Too unbeliavable, a bit ridiculous. The scene between Kong and Ann on the ice in NY is beautiful and very poetic. Can't wait for the dvd !
