It's of interest, but marginally. A few shots that are obviously Sternberg. Others look pretty much Ray -- without his heart in it. The stars twinkle, however....
"Macao" seems genuinely Sternberg-like in most of its visual style. Much of the film is fascinating to look at. I have only seen it on TV, but always enjoy it....
