WriteMovies.com:
Serving the filmmaking and writing communities since 1999
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear Writer,
WriteMovies.com (founded 1999) is the first international website created to act
as a
meeting place for global filmmaking and writing talent.
Apart from a popular writing contest and consulting business, the site offers
tips,
articles, interviews, reviews and a thriving online community to help beginners
as well as more experienced writers in their chosen profession.
Hundreds of writers have found representation through the site and many have had
projects optioned and produced as well as books published.
Amongst the writers discovered by the founder of the company Alex Ross are
Andrew
Niccol, who wrote and produced THE TRUMAN SHOW (for which he received an Academy
nomination), LORD OF WAR etc.
Most recently Iris Yamashita (contest finalist and consulting client) received a
well deserved Academy nomination for her script LETTERS FROM IWO JIMA.
Please make sure that you contact us when good things happen in your careers. We
are in touch with over 800 production companies (and all the studios), in the
US,
France and Germany, as well as all well known publishing houses and literary
agencies.
We would be delighted to give you some free press and maybe open some doors.
We are proud of our writers and proud to have made, and continue to make, a
difference.
With all our best wishes for your success,
The WriteMovies Team
Alex, Annette, Lisa, Julia, Dianne & Zack
