Dear Terrence,

some time ago I read a quite interesting book of Camille Landau and
Tiare White; "What They Don't Teach You at Film School". It has
something of the guide you're looking for: it tells you how to make
your movie, what traps are waiting for you and how to get rid of them.
I found it quite amusing, informing and very encouraging, even though
I definitely have not the intend to do a whole movie (including
producing and directing) myself.
