I like the idea of either a food bank drive or a Red Cross blood drive connected to the event. Not as sponsors per se, but it keeps the event in the public eye as a "good thing for a good cause", which makes dealing with permits and the cops a lot easier.   If people want to try for a Red Cross blood drive, I will volunteer to approach them. It might not be practical to have the actual blood drive on site, but a table where people would sign up/pledge might work. We could have it at the end of the march.   A food bank drive could involve having a table at the assembly area where people can drop off canned food.
