Those are very good pictures of Ollie and better quality than I have
seen before.
A little background on the photo of Ollie wearing hoop earrings.
That is the picture of Ollie in one of her costumes from the Midnight
Frolic from late 1916. At this time, Ollie and a male counterpart
dressed as a Naval Officer sang in the opening scene in Ziegfeld's
afterhours cabaret. (Hence, Ollie was known to have a fine singing
voice.) Ollie made it known that she was bored and was thinking of
leaving the show. Having Ollie sing was one of his many attempts to
placate Ollie into staying including suggesting a larger part in the
1917 Follies and having her appear in promotional films for
Ziegfeld's show along with Marion Davies and Peggy Hopkins Joyce.
Ollie still left.
A little less than 18 months later, Ollie arranged for her Frolic
singing partner to appear as Ollie's romantic partner in "Follies
Girl". It was a relatively minor part but it sparked accusations that
Ollie was unfaithful to Jack who was away on Naval duty in WWI. There
would be more accusations later.
Still great pictures.
