Love the Scottish accent too. BUT, what I like most about Gerard is that
he seems like a nice person. Great actor, but the fact that he is so

I like the fact that he's willing to take on roles that would make him look
foolish, or just silly, but I think he has an amazing talent that is just
starting to shine. He is quite the chameleon.

Actor Daniel Craig is widely expected to be unveiled as the new James
Bond.

The English star of gangster film Layer Cake is due to be confirmed
as the next 007 at a press conference in London, according to

Craig's mother appears to have verified the news, telling the
Liverpool Daily Post: "We are thrilled to bits.

"He could bring something very interesting to the part. It will be
life-changing," she told the paper. Craig would be the sixth James
Bond.

The 37-year-old actor would take over from Pierce Brosnan, 52, for
the next Bond movie. Production on Casino Royale is due to start in
January.

James Bond novel and will be directed by GoldenEye film-maker Martin
Campbell.

In the book, the spy was introduced as a more youthful and cold
character than the films, and Campbell has said the film will
be "tougher, grittier and more realistic".

Screenwriter Paul Haggis has said Bond will be reinvented as a
younger character with no gadgets. Brosnan, who appeared in four Bond
films, is now 52.

The new Bond star will become the sixth actor to play the secret
agent, after Brosnan, Sir Sean Connery, Sir Roger Moore, George
Lazenby and Timothy Dalton.

David Niven appeared as Bond in an unofficial spoof version of Casino
Royale in 1967.

Warner Bros. Gets Set for $60M 300

Variety reports that Warner Bros. will start production on director
Zach Snyder's $60 million-budgeted 300 on October 17 in Montreal. The
adaptation of the Frank Miller graphic novel, starring Gerard Butler,
will be shot almost entirely in front of green screen, much like how
Robert Rodriguez and Miller shot Sin City:

Studio is backing the bigscreen adaptation of Miller's hyper-stylized
graphic novel "300," a ferocious, spear-splashed retelling of the
Battle of Thermopylae, where King Leonidas and 300 Spartans fought to
the death against an overwhelming force of invading Persians, sowing
the seeds of democracy.

Studio says it's going to remain true to Miller's dark and violent
renderings in bringing the book to life, just as Dimension did
with "Sin City"; that virtually guarantees an R rating.

"Zach Snyder takes the sandals out of the movie completely, so to
speak. It's not going to feel like anything before," says Atmosphere
Pictures' Mark Canton, who is producing the movie with Hollywood Gang
Prods.' Gianni Nunnari, along with Bernie Goldmann and Jeffrey Silver.

Headey joins Frank Miller's '300'

Lena Headey has joined the cast of the adaptation of Frank Miller's
graphic novel 300, Variety reports.

The film will chronicle the battle of Thermopylae, in which King
Leonidas and 300 Spartan warriors took on the great Persian army. Their
bravery is credited with uniting Greece and helping along the
development of democracy.

Gerard Butler (Reign of Fire) will play Leonidas, whilst Headey (The
Cave) will play his queen.

Zach Snyder (Dawn of the Dead) is directing the movie, which he also
wrote along with Kurt Johnstad. Michael Gordon wrote a previous version
of the screenplay.
