Subject: Sooru, Lsombra - Together Again

The Indian dog smiled at him, and as Ursus left, wished him well on his travels with a soft woofing hum of her people.

Turning back to Lsombra as he mentioned how he would act and react to young ones, Sooru's ears visibly drooped. She'd not really thought too seriously or heavily on the matter of Motherhood, but the caressing images did drift over her mind's eye like soft clouds on a bright summer's day. But it seemed that now, because Lsombra had basicly made it known that he did not want puppies, Sooru's mood almost did a back flip into a sadness, though the desert dog had a greater appreciation for one's own bond above and beyond all else, and she loved Lsombra more than anything. If they could not bring little things into the world together, than that was not the end of the world. Time would move on, and they would move on along with it. Together.

Sooru smiled at him with a somber drop of her head, and brought her large triangular ears forward, her brow wrinkled with the action, giving her a soft, intelligant look, and her emerald eyes shimmered like jade stones. She understood, and besides.. they probably would not be safe with his master about, and the way the town has gotten lately.. it was not a safe environment for puppies. How she adored him.

"I understand, that I do. But I will not lie in saying that a part of me is somewhat, struck, if that is the right word, for a loss." She angled her head and gave the larger husky a gentle nuzzle, and licked at the base of his nearest ear with a soft sigh. "I am fine with whatever decision you chose. I will follow you, for your path has become mine." Her smile was so full of a love so deep that she felt she could move those jagged mountain rocks from her birthland for him, and as she leaned against him and felt his muscles jump and settle, she felt safe and secure.

"Lsombra.. there is one thing that I've been wondering for quite a few sun's.." She began, hoping not to ruin the moment, but she wanted to know, if he would tell her, "about your Master. What does he do? Oh Lsombra, its nothing to terrible, I do hope." She ofcourse, was speaking about all of the rumour's she'd been hearing about town of wolves killing humans then coming into town, dogs turning on their owners, and strays coming from every direction, and ofcourse, the dog fights. With such sensetive ears, it is quite nigh impossible to miss the interior details of a town so small.

~Sooru
Glad to have you back Draiko. I cant wait for more posts with Aranok. :p

Bear looked at Sooru, and then to Lsombra. Bear was a wise creature
as well as strong creature. Suddenly feeling like he was crowding in
on these two, he decided to saunter off and go looking for food.
Wishing the two a goodbye, he continued onward and outward along the
frozen lake ever so often looking into it to see what tasty things he
could find. Where ever he was going, his stomach was going to take
him there.

OOC: Bear is going to wander around a bit and find some interesting
trouble to get into. If you have any ideas and want a big bear in on
them, let me know.

OOC: Sorry it's taken me so long to get a post up, but now that I'm
back I should be a lot faster and more active.

IC:

As his Sooru greeted him and he felt her weight against his bulk, he
realised that any problems he had, seemed to melt and flow from him
until all that was left was the two of them.

"You vould not have found me, my master needed my help, but no longer
so I came seeking you."

He hummed contentedly, Lsombra had also noticed the coming of spring
and was more aware than ever of the summer dog's light and
intoxicating scent. Although he was uneasy at being so close to the
bear, which, in Lsombra's experience, were unpredictable and fickle in
their moods, Sooru seemed to be at ease, still Lsombra remained
vigilant. His mind was brought back to the subject that spring often
prompted and he spoke in his deep tones.

"I vould be a very bad father, I am uncomfortable around things that
are so dependent and small. I have never been good at being tugged
and bitten and pulled."

He knew it was something he should have said before, but they had been
together for such a short time that it had seemed inappropriate, but
it would eventually become an issue and he felt he needed to tell her
so she could understand.

get so excited, though! The wars are always the most intense storylines.

I'll try to post for Aithne soon, but I'm horribly lacking creative

I just have to say, first of all, I like John's forum idea, and yeah,
im a bit rusty since I havnt been founder of a forum in quite some
time, but im sure the experience would come back to me if I got in
there somehow.

Other than this though, John's last post with Fuzzy and Spot has me
thinking. With the wolves killing humans, and dogs's mushers, I SO
have deja vu with the entire first war with Daro and the other
inhabitants of Nome. I sense another dog/wolf war bruing(sp? o.o). XD
Its making me giddy. yay, another war! lol. :p

TAB will always be known for its wars. XD This could so turn into
something fun guys.

Just my thoughts on what I saw, thought of, and wanted to share. :3

Aithne was on top of it before he knew it, then Lakota appeared. It seemed the female was for the moment, alpha, as she dug into the carcuss and made it damn fine sure that the males knew it. White Ember watched as Lakota slunk back, and watched yearningly for a chance to eat. Memories flashed through the once proud alpha's mind. Alpha. The leader, a pack. His pack. He had been a lone wolf for so long, after losing those whom he had loved, then the town's seeming drastic change all around him. Wolves becoming less and less looked upon as guiding, respected spirits by those few who cared, but terrors to be placed at the back of the mind. Nightmares in the night. Shadows that needed to be eradicated.

White Ember's strength had returned, and he rose to his haunches with a large, full-teeth shown yawn. Once upon a time.. could he actually become what is now a past image? He didnt know, but something deep inside him, rooted since birth when he remembered howling first in his litter, and taking advantage of his size and strength when he was allowed, he gripped that primal instinct like one would grip life. His hunger for a stable unit, a pack. In essence, that was what he had been doing these past few weeks. First with Aithne, then Lakota. Inadvertantly, he was forming a new pack in Nome. A new pack he would be alpha over, if his strength, and his wisdom allowed him again, to do so.

Rising to his forelimbs, he pushed off into a stand, he brought his thick tail high, and arced it well over his back, and with ears pressed sharply forwards, he growled. Low, and powerful. He stepped forward toward the kill and for the first time in quite a while, he took charge in a way borne into him and his species since they began to walk the earth. White Ember was letting instinct guide him. Placing a paw onto the ribcage Aithne had shown them with her knashing teeth and powerful jaws, the male plunged his head low and began to tear at the dead animal along with her, snarling in tune with her, and keeping his eyes trained onto her's. I am the one who brought this, mind.

His frenzied mind had begun to be taken over by the bloodlust and though he held his gaze and pulled chunks with his teeth, he thought of Lakota. Would he, in their small pack, and hopefully one that would grow larger still, become the lesser? White Ember didnt know, but if he chose to settle back and watch, then it would be the law of the pack hierarchy that would judge him. He could not help the wolf now. The little band needed a leader, as Aithne's thought's were well placed, and the white wolf would attempt to become the same as he had once before. In this time of need, he would try to rally up any who would join him. White Ember, was truly back.

~White Ember

OOC: Yep, Husky, the last post in our scene with Sybrix back at the
den was this one:
http://movies.groups.yahoo.com/group/TheAuroraBorealis/message/7194.
After that, nobody posted for ages, and so when White posted with
Tempestade, I had John traipse along and find her, escaping the limbo.
This would've meant Husky stayed behind at the den to watch over
Sybrix, probably at the human's request, considering that Warren was
nearby and he wasn't sure if he'd be a threat to her and the cubs or
not. With you at the den still, that'll give Sybrix someone to talk
to, too, and the cubs. (Tracker, any idea how old they are now? Can
they start to talk and stuff? Who were their players?) (Oh and Tracker
needs to go make up with her, damnit. >_<)

To try and get some kind of resolution to the forum proposal and
chronology dilemma, how does this sound? If we started up a forum, but
kept it simple without a lot of subforums for each area, just an OOC
and IC section, and a character profiles thread, no need to
overcomplicate things. Posting would still be one scene at a time,
rather than having flexible time and multiple scenes per character. If
it later turns out that we do need to take that route to stop people
falling into limbo then we can always do that later, but I'm with
Sparf and the others on the chronology aspect and would like to try
and make the linear scenes work. The layout and features of a forum
will help to keep people motivated enough to post and hopefully stop
scenes falling dead. Does that sound okay with everyone? If nobody has
any serious objections then I think it'd be worth a shot, perhaps
Mandi could found the forum in the same way she founded this club. :-)
I remember she started one up a while back as an external character
database. Tracker I think has experience with forum codes, too, maybe
others who play here as well.

BTW, Draiko, welcome back! Are you still going ahead with your girl
whose family is out there in the snow freezing to death storyline?
It's her turn to post in the kennels, in the scene with Thor and
Safari. Dragon is there, too, Birdy's character. And Rivan and
Skyline's team. Link's team is just next door, as well, if you want to
have one of them wander in, Zeki. ^_^

BIC: Fuzzy, smeared with mud from head to tail from his tumble off of
the shack roof, and grumbling curses to himself, came padding back
around the corner and sat down by their new friend, the brown and
white coloured dog who seemed half at home and half at a loss in this
town. Spot joined him, eyeing him up carefully to make sure he hadn't
injured himself in the fall, but he was a young dog, and looked fine.
They both gave Jersey a muted but vengeful stare, eyes narrowing a
little, and were convinced she'd sprang out of some undiscovered crack
in the fabric between Nome and Hades. And so two more dogs had met
their match in this backwater settlement, unwilling amusement for the
cat who toyed with every inhabitant here.

Neither of them wanted to take a snap at her while she was perched on
the head of a dog who liked like he could wring their necks with his
pinky, however, and it became clear that they knew each other.
Disgruntled and defeated, the soiled Malamute conceded. "We'd
appreciate the help," he made himself say, twitching a little, "Our
friend's name's Thor. Ginger minger, bit of a chauvinist, quite big,
and a jackass." Grimacing, Fuzzy started to clean his fur. Oh why
couldn't he have landed in some snow. Ah yes, that's right, spring time.

Spot gave a small sigh, looking to Conrad and accepting his apology,
though really he had nothing to say sorry for, it was all that pesky
feline's doing. Oh she was evil. But they did need help finding
Thor,
and their musher. Now that Cobalt was dead... What would they do? She
could do this, it was too much for her, being lead dog. Though
admittedly her team consisted of only one very dirty Malamute right
now. Thor wouldn't challenge her for dominance, either, the scoundrel,
he'd let her lead and take responsibility for all the mistakes, while
undermining her and stripping her actual authority with his insolence.
A rogue, that one. Still, the task at hand, locating him and Tony,
that's what they had to do.

"Our musher, too," she contributed calmly, staring up at the cat on
Conrad's head, not knowing how the guy could stand it, "The man who
shot at you, if you remember. He was attacked by a wolf, we have to
find him." As if haunting her words, the solitary howl of that primal
species drifted faintly through the town, followed by another, joining
it, and filled even to her domesticated ears with a raw suffering
calling out of the distant past. Two wolves out there, two black
wolves wherever they were, had caused her life to be turned upside
down, and now here she was wandering the streets of a strange town
with her naïve companion. Somehow, one day, she would see justice done
to them.

His head turned to watch the female dart directly for the kill,

Thank you, Ember. He understood how difficult it must have been to
not only find a fine kill as he did, but bring it so far. He must be
exhausted and all for an odd pair he barely knew. He was what every
wolf should live up to.

He then turned, stepping a few feet away to settle down on his

As I was listening to my music today while cleaning out my closet, a song came onto the playlist that I emidiately thought of the current situation with Aranok and NightTracker. This song fits them right now so well. :D

I even have this image in my head I hope to sketch of them because of it. :)

Here is the song lyrics! ^^

"Bleed Like Me" By Trapt

Have your nails scratched the deepest
Have you broken skin this time
Made your mark and took me deeper
As you drown me with your eyes
I held my hand over your mouth
As you scream at me to feel
You felt my scars with understanding
But I can't promise anything

Can you tell
That I picked my poison well
That I have no more to sell to you
Is it really that important that I settle down
Does it really even matter that I have my doubts
I search for the one who bleeds
I reach for the one who bleeds

I forget to dream in color
I am better off alone
Honest hearts are undercover
We are shadows on our own
Lose ourselves in open waters
Always swimming back to shore
My addictions have no bounderies
Now I'm crying out for more

Can you tell
That I picked my poison well
That I have no more to sell to you
Is it really that important that I settle down
Does it really even matter that I have my doubts
I search for the one who bleeds
I reach for the one who bleeds
Like me

I have my doubts
I have my doubts
And so does everbody else
So help me take this all away
You gotta help me take this all away
Please help me take this all away
And bleed like me
So help me take this all away
You gotta help me take this all away
Please help me take this all away
And bleed like me

Is it really that important that I settle down
Does it really even matter that I have my doubts
I search for the one who bleeds
I reach for the one who bleeds

I reach for
I reach for
I reach for
I reach for
I reach for the one who bleeds
Like me!

Now I am off to draw. :D

NightTracker snorted disgustedly through her nostrils, and watched him with a seering gaze of those cold eyes. Eyes that have seen just as much death as he. Ofcourse things change. Everything around them changes, its the only constant in their universe. Yet Aranok and herself seem to be in some sort of suspended animation. Their hearts are frozen and their bodies are fierce. NightTracker's eyes, the windows to the soul, have closed and become desolate. The only things she now focused on, and see's through the blue is darkness, decay, and deceit. Sadness and greed and death. The happiness that was once there is gone, or so it seemed.

The wolf song Aranok had sent up sent a chill through her being, and the thick ruff about her neck shivered and rippled over her fine muscles. Atleast Aranok could cry. The DarkWolf didnt think she had a single tear left in her cold eyes to cry.

Vengeance? Is that what you killed them for? Vengeance? It started as vengeance for her. Stalking them, toying with them, and chasing them into a corner. It was all a vengeful game to her. For her parents' death's, for her packmates. For all of them. Then it became too personal. And she had fallen into the bloodlust. She hated humanity, they were nothing but chaos, Scornful, agonizing chaos. She had been hunted, thrown into a cage when the government agents infected half of Nome's residents, wild and domsetic with the COLD virus, and she had nearly died. No.. she had not done this for vengeance at all, but her own selfish hatred. Her own personal vendetta. She had been treated unjustly, and the one's that were the main cause of her suffering are dead. That book has been closed. She can wipe her feet of it and run once more onto the white. However.. like Aranok, somewhere deep inside, the great black beast felt hollow. And now more than ever, as Aranok walked away, she felt a pang of lonliness.

She thought for a moment to follow Aranok. She had been with him now off and on for quite a while and the two seemed to share the same pain in their lifetime. Raising a paw to follow, she stopped, and placed it back onto the pinkened ground. With a growling sigh the wolf turned away from his vanishing figure. She would catch up to him, eventually. Curious, if anything as to what he thought of doing now. Her mind went back to his mention of change. And how desperately sad he seemed. Was this their future? Was this how she and he were going to live the rest of their lives? As hollow shells with no real, loving souls? NightTracker's mind felt clouded.

Her eyes grew angry and her hackles rose as Omara approached her, and the ebon furred she-wolf raised her lips with a grim smile. Join you? A family? Her eyes glittered dangerously. As the old leader turned from her and walked away, NightTracker spit and turned herself, the opositte way. As she walked away, the blood from the ground had clung to her pads like dew on grass, and as she disapeared into the forest beyond in silence, her only reminder of being there were the bloody paw-prints, step by step, in her wake. Her sin.

OOC: Sorry for not posting sooner, but I've just been having a
nightmare with my computer. Tracker, feel free to follow either Omara
or Aranok if you wish, otherwise I'm sure we can get some plotting done.

IC:

Aranok stood silent, standing in the middle of a thousand rivulets of
blood which cracked the snow into a jagged landscape that seemed as
though it might shatter. The taste of the human had soured long ago
and now seemed the only flavour in his mouth. The body of the human
lay before him, whether he was dead or not Aranok did not know and nor
did he care. All sound had drained from the world, replaced instead
by a high pitched whine which permeated everything. As he turned he
saw Omara standing there watching him and he lowered his head, unable
to meet her gaze. His did not speak but Aranok knew she was
disappointed and not even with him but with herself for something she
must have failed to do during his upbringing. His rage still burnt as
brightly as ever, Aranok had thought that somehow the death of a human
would be some sort of release, instead he felt hollow. Grief at the
memories of the slaughter these man creatures had wrought upon his
adopted family, of the futility of their struggle, of knowing that the
man creatures would always be stronger and that their deaths would
change nothing. He looked again at the scene before him, all this and
his father was still dead, NightTracker's pack was still dead and once
again blood stained the snow pink.

"What has changed?"

He asked NightTracker's retreating figure, he didn't know whether she
had heard or not, but he fancied he saw her ear twitch.

"What has changed?" H e said again, louder this time "My father is
still dead and pack mates will not return. I could try to deceive
myself that they would want vengeance but it would be a cheap lie. My
hatred for the man creatures has not eased and nor has my anger at the
atrocities they have caused. Nothing has changed."

Slowly he lifted his head and for a long moment no sound came, but
eventually a low quavering tone filled the air. The tone was laiden
with a grief so palpable it was almost a weight on the listeners. It
was also a beautiful sound, gone was the roughness of Aranok's voice,
replaced instead by a smooth liquid song that continued to grow. It
told the story of his father, of each pack mate the humans had
slaughtered or maimed. The howl grew louder still, calling to the
moon and stars to hear the stories of each wolf that it had watched be
killed and clamoured to the spirits, imploring them to explain why
they did nothing. As the howl went on, something else happened, tears
formed and flowed down Aranok's cheeks to hang from his jaw before
falling soundlessly to the snow. Finally the song finished and Aranok
began moving off.

"Aranok." Omara said, the black wolf turned, but when Omara said
nothing more he began walking off once more.

Omara turned to NightTracker.

"No wolf should be alone, if ever you need a family then we will be here."

Without waiting for an answer she turned and slowly moved away, other
wolves obscuring her form from view, until the night swallowed them.

Well even though I still have no idea what everyone is talking about,
I see both points. Moving an established roleplay from one form to
another can kill it. At the same time, a forum would clear up space in
my mailbox >> I know I'm not the only one in the world who finds
herself getting a tad bit annoyed when she looks in her box and
there's a bazillion posts (okay, I'm exaggerating, but you get the idea).

I do think a forum may help this RP, as there are a variety of
characters, plotlines, and so on - and a forum can work to our
advantage that way. Plus we wouldn't have the need for a OOC type
group. And in the long run, it could stabilize the group and keep it
away from the defibrillators lol (I mean it does have this tendency to
explode with activity and then die off not long after). Plus we could
pull in more members.

But yeah, there are a lot of variables that would come into play.
Personally, I don't care which way it goes - as long as it stays
fairly active.

Aw Zeki. Give it a chance eh? If it dosnt work and everyone is finding
it difficult, we can come back here like nothing happened. Afterall,
this place wont go anywhere. :)

It could be the end, or it could be a new beginning and bring in a lot
more action. Who knows until something is tried, eh?

Ive rpged in a chronological themed forum before, its Matt's, actually,
and things run very smoothely there. We start a thread, and then we end
it and go to another, wherever the end of the first thread took us. Or,
if characters wanna break off from a certain group in a certain thread,
they go elsewhere on the board to whatever area of soenso place to pick
up another story/plot/whatnot. And other characters may go to join in.
One character per one place at one time. It works really well if all of
the players are in favor, and I really enjoyed rpging there, but none of
us have time over at the Realm anymore, so im pouring all of whatever is
left of my creative juices here and into TAB. :)

I really want to see this move, and see for myself if it will be the end
or new beginning. Like I said, if it bombs, we can always come back. ^^
Change is only bad if you let it be so.

*twitch* I cant wait for some reply posts so I can rpg summore here.
Meep. :D Now, its time for bed, gotta be up at 8am. Bleh. Cheer up
Zekiiiii. I still love yah, and dont look at this possible change being
the death of TAB. be positive, woman! <3

Defeated, Conrad froze, allowing his thoughts to take ahold. She was
right. Conrad really didn't know this place any more. It wasn't the
same as before he left. As annoying as she was, Jersey could be a lot
more help to Fuzzy and Spot than he could.
With slightly appologetic eyes, the American Bulldog looked at Spot,
then Fuzzy. It would be up to them.

Waiting for them to decide, Conrad couldn't help but feel a growing
sense of excitment rising in his heart. It would be so wonderful to see
Ember again! It was a long time. Too long. He wanted to know everything
about what was happening in his absense.
Everything.

OOC: I figured it made more sense to make an OOC post rather than clog
up Quills' and Cobalt's story.

Basically yeah. Everything that Tracker said is what I find appealing
about an actual forum also. It allows for more creativity and appeal
than Yahoo Groups can offer. I also love the fact that we can have a
board set aside for OOC posts. It lets the story flow more freely.

Having multiple boards set aside for specific areas of town isn't
actually as chaotic as it sounds. It don't see how it would be any
different from the way we have it now, except that things will be
divided up rather than jumbled in one place. Players will still only be
able to post for one character at a time in the time frame that is
going on. Specific direction/summary can still be added at the top of
the forum in a format similar to what John as going on here to let
everyone know what the current storyline is and where their characters
are :)

That also makes it insanely hard to have a coherent linear timeline.
It typically just falls into being chaos.

OOC: I know this is a terribly bad time, but I am moving back to GA bright and early tomorrow morning. This is the last internet I'll have access to until Tuesday when the cable company comes to install it in the apartment. Andrew is coming home tomorrow night (yay!) and today we're packing the truck for the move. I have an entire house to go through and pack and I really shouldn't even be spending this much time on the computer, but I had to inform everyone. I give Tracker permission to play Lakota as necessary, seeing as she knows my characters the best.

I'm awfully sorry you guys! I'll be back soon!

Hey, just to apologise for not replying more promptly to posts, but my
comptuer at home has gone tits up and I've had to re-format and
re-install Windows. Not a complicated process I'll grant you, but a
very time consuming one. I've had to back everything up and format
and install. I started doing that on wednesday and finished at
midnight last night. Still have to isntall other stuff, but I have a
computer that, I think, is running okay so I will hopefully post
during the weekend.

Thanks

As he thanked her and spoke, Quills felt her tail waver in favor of a better mood. She almost hated for it to end. She hadn't felt uplifted in quite some time. Maybe this is what she really needed, was a nice companion to walk with, or rather in this case, carry and walk in understanding of the other. Then something happened that hasn't happened since she joined the sled team. Quills smiled. It was a genuine, cheerful smile. She gave another tail wave, having it re-curl in that thick circle at her back and twitched her ears.

"No need for thanks Cobalt. Good luck inside." She growled some. "And dont you worry, if I find him, i'll send him over, there is one of my own team mates who I would personally like to chew on myself." She turned to leave as he turned, but as he warned her of wolves, she snarled, and called back over her shoulders as she began to trot off. "Dont worry, Cobalt! No wild animal is going to get to my team, my musher, or myself!" And with that, she disapeared into the streets, the smile Cobalt had allowed her to aquire still firmly aparent, as she trotted with a more prideful step. See, she did in fact have a good natured side, it just took intelligence to find it.

For a moment or two she thought to stay with him and see to it he got inside and seen to alright, but he was a well weathered dog, and could fend for himself rather well it seemed. Obviously. And so, with a wave of that thick curled tail, she headed straight for the kennels, and her male counterparts.

OOC Forum stuffs:
Ahh, not to great, not feelin to well over here. :/

And aww, yeah, some ppla re just retarded on DA, most than less, am afraid, Zeki.

As for what a forum has that Yahoo does not? Better organization. You can create differant areas that ppl can go to and rpg at whenever they like. Like, lets say. The vets, the outskirts, the towns alleyways. That way if you wanna go to a certain spot, its easy to find. :) And I LOVE avatars, signitures, and tables on forums that we can have for our characters. I love the fixed font, and the EDIT button. I think the only thing a forum lacks that yahoo here has, is the file/photo section that we can easily access. But even so, we can still use this group's photo/file section, and just post about what we add (If anything IS added) on the forum and we can come here to check it out. Or we could all use photobucket and then share links, which is what I do on my forum's anyway, so am used to it. :)
But again, these reasons are what I like about them. ^_^
