Re: Conrad, Spot & Fuzzy - Past meets present

Upon impact, a bark of surprise arose out of Conrad's hefty maw and the
bulldog swung around amazingly quick for a dog his size. In an instant,
Conrad's posture turned from one of carefree comfort into one of
confident defense. A ridge of short fur spiked along his spine as his
amber eyes studied the two unfamiliar huskies. Judging by the yelp and
the look of surprise on both of their faces (sfl), Conrad decided they
had meant no harm and almost immediately began to relax. He shook his
body briefly to relieve the stinging in his knee and replace the hairs
along his back

Conrad cocked his head ever so slightly, his eyes on the two dogs in
front of him again, "Uh, sorry." he said at last. Though he knew it
hadn't been his fault, he was a little lost for words. These two
huskies weren't familiar to him at all. No, they couldn't have been
here before he left... and if they were, he never met them.

Giving an uncomfortable chuckle, Conrad shifted on his large paws and
looked away from Fuzzy and Spot momentarily. Though he had relaxed
considerably since first being bumped into, he was still prepared if
the encounter turned ugly.

"My name's Conrad." he said after a moment, his voice youthful but
clearly grown, "I'm... sorta new around here, trying to get to know
everyone - the town - you know... Are you two from around here?"

It felt like a silly question to Conrad, but you could never be too
certain. Some dogs were only in town as a resting place before setting
off again with their mushers and sleds. Regardless, he hoped he could
rely on them enough to at least make their accuaintences (sp? wtf).

OOC: Nah, it was lovely, John!
And Zeki, you oughtta have Jersey and Tav run into them :3 I'm sure
Conrad would be thrilled to see a couple of familiar faces!
