Mars growled a little as he opened one eye to look over at Nana who
was currattly bouncing up and down and barking like an idiot at ever
human that went past. "Pup!" He said loudly as she narrowly avoided
his face with a paw. "You don't have to bark at everything that
moves just because it's dark out."
Nana grinned, "Sorry Mars." She said, glancing up as another person
went past. Without thinking she began yipping and growling at it.
Mars lifted a paw and set it on her nose. Before she could stop
barking he pushed and she went face first into the snow. "Mars!" She
said as she pulled her head out of the snow and rubbed her nose.
"Leave her alone Mars." Came another voice from the doorway. There
stood Atlas with a grin on his face and the lantern light behind him
mking him look entirely black, "You sleep too much anyway." He
trotted down and sat next to Nana. "You ok?" He asked.
"Fine." She said, walking over to Mars and jumping on his back.
Before Mars could shake her off Atlas jumped on him too. After the
initial lack of air he rolled his eyes and mumbled, "It's like living
with baby humans..."
He rolled onto his side under the other two dogs who had now taken to
jumping back and forth over him, and tried to go back to sleep. He
tensed suddenly and rolled back onto his stomache. "Quiet." He said
in a half growl. The other two dogs stopped and looked at him as he
swivled his ears to the front. "Someone's coming."
