Makes you stronger.. so they always say..
He moved with a fluent grace even though his body was wracked with so
much hurt.. his foot falls were secure, confident.. this furthered
the wanting.. the want to walk again. DarkWolf's frazzled, tired mind
was growing with the much needed confidence to go through with this
act of putting her life within a stranger's hands. She trusted him..
for the time being. She loosened all muscle, falling
limp..vulnerable, at Aranok's jaws. Ears roll forward, if she were to
die, then it would not be as any worthless omega.
Then he clamped his maw over her injured leg, she tensed
instinctfully, clenching her jowls together tightly as the seering
pain that tingled and crept its way up her leg and into her entire
being. Oh.. she hurt, and would hurt, after the passing of the set.
As he pulled back quikly, she let out a yip, a yowl of pain that was
somthing mingled with a pained howl and aggressive snarl. That hurt!
She fell limp as he let slip her foot from his mouth and the dark
pelted she-wolf panted tiredly, pulling in the crisp cold air into
her lungs, breath fogging just slightly before her snout. Fire ripped
through her body, starting at the tingling pins and needles
sensations of her back left foot to her head. She felt shed be sick,
her body was in so much pain.
Though after laying for a few moments, completely motionless, the
pain began to dull a bit.. She sat up, hind quarters still pressed
into the snowy flat, forelimbs pull body up and off of the stiff,
cold earth. Ice blue eyes flicker sharply, placid grin forming pon
ebon maw. Thankyou.. was the plain expression. She gave a sqift nod
to the great wolf before her, and pushed herself up onto three limbs.
Not wanting to place solid weight onto the newly placed leg just yet,
she limped as she had for nearly a solid month closer towards Aranok.
"Aranok.." she growled, a low, level tone for the obsidion
beast, "Gratitude.. given.." She gave a lick to her under-jaw, and
silently as she had come, crossed the small stream at her paws, and
past the rock, back up the hill, towards Artanis and the newcommer,
Tempestade. Wonder if the two had cought up at all in the past half
hour or so she had been away. She hoped so, it was now dark, and the
creatures of the night other than themselves and other wolven would
be lurking soon.. and she didnt want to come acrossed anything
larger, or more furocious than herself. The large she-wolf gave no
look back to Aranok, for he was not of her pack. Though, his help was
appreciated. Though.. she had promised she would help him track that
human on the edge of her territory... Hrms.. when she was healed..
and able to put full weight upon her leg.. which, sadly, probably
wouldnt be for a few good weeks.. two.. three at most untill the
tendons, tissue and bone settled back into iriginal places.
A quik flick of tail, head tossed sideways and over right shoulder,
gruffing yips and growls, "Howl for me when the moon is half gone, I
will then, help you find whom you seek.." With one last flash of
those electric optics, the bohemoth tossed her head, and began the
ascent of the hill towards her pack mates. The moon was full, round,
and bright over the lands, creating natures flood light. Pale colors
cast over the land like an artists brush, touching everything and
creating overlays of soft, calming texture ..feeling. Within 18 or so
days.. the moon would reach last quarter.. half full, half empty.
That is when she expected to have full use of her leg.. she was
determined.
She could just see the hides of her two pack mates.. pack mates.. Her
blood gurgled and warmed her reality. Large clawed paws rake into the
grass and forming mud under foot. Paws carry wolfen up towards the
ones she would eventually lead. To her, they were challenges, even
the male. Tempestade.. Hackles rise ever so slightly at the meer
thought of another female, a threat to her rank.. though they were
only three.. one dominant female had to rise.. had to exist.
NightTracker would be damned if she was misplaced as a cowerdly
omega. She had been beta.. alpha at one stage in her life, and by the
way this new mottled she-wolf carried herself, The night wolf saw no
alpha.. she had never seen this wolf before.. and so, what she saw,
she judged by. She saw caution, weary mistrust, yet a clingy
affection towards The male. Night's mind whirred with possible events
to unfold. Time would tell of this new she-wolf. Time would tell, who
would lead.
Artanis.. NightTracker glared absently as she approached, the wolf
seemed so ready to just give up earlier, defeated, absent of life.
With her appearence and insistent prodding, her dominant personality
coming through when needed to push him along, she saw a spark return,
one that she used to see in many of her younger pack mates. This wolf
eased somthing inside of her.. and what that was, she was not sure
of, but his presence seemed to quiet a squall that unchecked, could
form into one massive storm. Unbeknowest of her, her pack instinct
was taking hold of her mind, the mind of a true wolf, and the
instinct to cling, lead, and find shelter was strong in her mind, her
heart shut off to all emotion, ears pull tuaght upon strong crania,
fangs glisten just enouph to be seen from black jaws, as form appears
from behind some thick brittle brush, form taking on a fur burrs from
the inpact, wool from fluffy coat misplaced on straggling limbs.
Her leg was set, her mind was set. They had to move, whether she had
to use force or not, she would not wait much longer, patience grew
thin, and her determination was rock hard and unyeilding. Alright,
Tempestade. She turned to her with a growl of her name, look clear.
Move, and keep him moving as well. She turned to Artanis. If
anything, this dark bitch trusted that Artanis would atleast follow
this new she. Perhaps the two were mates. Who knew, NightTracker
didnt care. All she cared about, was moving, bumb leg or no. She
would wait, no longer. Pitch beast slithers over the plain in silent
prowess. If those two didnt move within 60 seconds, she would make
them herself. She was in no shape or form to travel alone, and
besides.. she felt obligated to atleast get the gray male to a safer
haven..
