Description

This group was founded in the hopes to bring all fans of the ABC made for TV move The Midnight Hour Together. After much searching for a fan club to no success. It is my hope that we all will be able to share information about the movie as well as discuss the movie and its stars in general. However I do monitor this group to make sure spam and problems are kept at bay.

Here is a short description of the movie. It is Halloween in Pitchford Cove, and Phil (Lee Montgomery), Mary ( Dedee Pfeiffer), Mitch (Peter DeLuise) , Vinnie ( LeVar Burton), and Melissa (Shari Belafonte) are planning on making it a night they will never forget. When the five teenagers plan on stealing outfits from the towns historic museum, they come upon other old artifacts, including an old trunk containing an ancient curse. Once Melissa recites the curse, things take a turn for the worse. As the remaining four enjoy themselves at their annual Halloween party, Phil encounters a mysterious girl named Sandy (Jonna Lee). Once the 2 realize that the town is being overrun by the living dead, it's up to them to restore the town to normal before it's too late.

As is stated in the DVD insert of The Midnight Hour: “The Midnight Hour, for all of its more obvious failings, is extremely endearing and entertaining. How could you not enjoy a film that brings a long-dead cheerleader back to live in the exactly the same condition as when she died?” “Ok, so The Midnight Hour doesn’t exactly take itself seriously. This is a horror-comedy with a distinct empasis on the comedy.”

Not to mention the great mix of music threwout the movie and even a dance number lead by Shari Belafonte-Harper “Get Dead”, this move from the start had all the trappings of a classic and cult hit. If you have never experienced The Midnight Hour the I say to you find a coppy and watch it, its well worth it and fun. Every October and espcialy around Halloween I dust this one off and watch it several times.

I don't really have a set time to watch it. In previous years, I watch it pretty close to Halloween, but as usual, I'll be playing it by ear again. I'm SO
