Lobby Day is Next Week!

If you wish to participate in the TXMPA Lobby Day legislative meetings,
you must register with TXMPA’s volunteerhub:
http://txmpa.volunteerhub.com/Events/Browse.aspx .
You need to be assigned into a group and go through training. If you are
unable to make the training session on Tuesday night, we will have a
recording available that we want you to review Wednesday morning before
heading to any meetings.


Lobby Day Activities Itinerary
March 3rd Orientation Training Meeting
7:00 – 9:30 p.m.
Austin Studios
1901 East 51st Street
Austin, TX 78723
Your group leader will have your meeting schedule for the next day. Make
sure to trade cell numbers with your group leader.

March 4th at the Capitol
State Capitol Building
Congress and 12th Street
Austin, TX

7:00 a.m. - South Lawn Press Conference & Rally
In support of TXMPA’s Lobby Day, the Austin Alliance has organized a
rally that will boost our presentation. They would like for you to
register with them so they can keep a head count. They are also asking
people to wear red so we can all be identified easily. If you would like
to add your name to their list, please register at
http://www1.mysignup.com/lobbydayrally and you might add something red
to your outfit for lobby day (red tie, dress, jacket, shoes, etc).

8:30 - Capital Auditorium
For those participating in TXMPA’s legislative meetings, meet in the
State Auditorium to meet with your groups and receive last minute
information

9:00 – 11:30 Attend Scheduled meetings

11:30 – 1:30 BBQ Lunch on South Lawn
TxMPA is hosting a lunch for the State Legislators and their staff.
Volunteers are encouraged to mix and mingle and spread the word.

1:30 – Return to Scheduled Meetings

There will be other activities for Lobby Day volunteers including
1. a group picture,
2. recognition by the Legislature,
3. and possible committee meetings.

We will discuss those more during the training Tuesday night.

During the day, if you get separated from your group, return to the
Auditorium (lost and found). If you need other help, go to the TXMPA
office on the third floor of the Capital.
