As we are all learning, there are more and more independent films
being made in the Corpus Christi - Rio Grande Valley Area. As this
area continues to be utilized, the need for more and more resources
arises......one of which is discount/donation opportunities for
filmakers. If any of you are local business owners or know of
anyone who are (especially restaurants) that are willing to offer
discounts/special rates to film makers and attract
business/publicity and a "pedastal" placement in the eyes of local
film makers, please respond to this posting.

Place the specialization of your business in the heading, whether it
be "printing, copying, italian food, hotel, production equipment,
etc." Then in the body of your message, please include the
following:

1. Business Name
2. Contact Name for film makers
3. Business Address
4. Business Phone Number
5. Business Fax Number
6. Discount Opportunities Offered (does not have to be numeric)

Some, or even most film makers will give sympathetic business owners
credit in their film......and you never know which one will be
the "next big thing." When I produced an indie short film in Austin
last year, it was a four day shoot, and one area restaurant provided
a good amount of our food. That restaurant gets my referral
everytime someone who's new or even old to Austin asks me where they
should eat. Local support is the backbone to any film making
community, but it is also potential for a mutually beneficial
relationship. I look forward to receiving responses and starting
the support chain. My best. lauraelysaperez
