CASTING CALL

"There's No Heroin in Heaven" is a short film to be
shot April 27-May 5 in McAllen, Texas and Reynosa,
Mexico. It is the story of a Chicago woman who, at
the request of her mother, returns to her hometown of
McAllen, Texas to find her missing older brother.

We are currently casting for the roles below. They
are unpaid, but food, housing, and transportation will
be provided. We will conduct closed readings in San
Antonio on Thursday, April 8th and in McAllen Friday,

ANA: 50’s, bereaved widow, mother of two somewhat
estranged children, nervous but a fighter. Most
importantly, Ana is a middle-class Mexican woman
living in the United States, so the actress we are
looking for MUST speak Spanish fluently without a
trace of an American accent. She is well dressed,
well groomed and carries herself with an air of
respectability. Needed for 3 days.

BOUNCERS: Non-speaking Featured-Extra role. Age
unimportant, but we need two physically intimidating
figures (6 ft. or taller) who can believably
portray bouncers at a rowdy punk club. Needed for 1
night only.
