Greetings SAMMers:
The National Film Board of Canada has funded independent movie
projects for many years and as a result has an enormous library of
movies of all kinds: short, long; humorous, serious; dramas,
documentaries; educational and just for fun. Now they have made most
of this collection available on a website:
www.nfb.ca
The site is organized something like YouTube but the content is the
result of years of work by students, amateurs, and professionals.
Most if not all of the collection that is on the site is free for
viewing and there is a procedure for purchasing copies.
Some of these films have won Oscars and many more have been
nominated. It should be an excellent resource for people like us who
are interested in moviemaking.
I have been a fan of the animated films that have come from the NFB.
They often show up at those animation festivals that show at the Crest.
