Jeff, I located a picture of Reuel Gridley and he's a shorter, stockier Abe Lincoln.  So, with a beard and top hat, you could play him very believably and your acting in The Switch and On Being Homeless proves you have the talent.  Attached is Gridley's picture.  Also, I've got a call in to Roger to ask if he would be interested and/or has the time for the part of Mark Twain.

In this vein, if you would prefer to act as Gridley rather than direct the project, I would like to try my hand at directing.  If anyone has other suggestions or comments, please respond.

Another thought: it's been quite a while since we've (Bob and I ) been to Sutter's Fort.  Would that be a suitable place? Also the town of Locke. I know they've spiffed it up but a couple of years ago, there were still buildings suitable for background.

AND, the town of Austin, NV has a Gridley Days.  Last year it was June 12-17.  Can't find a date for this year.  That would be a great video opportunity.
