I just received an email from Videomaker Magazine announcing a new
contest for video and music called OurStage.

Artists are invited to upload works of up to 10 minutes which can
then be entered in monthly contests. The initial judging will be
done by the public and the final judging is done by registered
members of OurStage. The voting rules are complicated but there are
prizes of $100 and $5000 available.

This is a chance for serious musicians and videographers to get
distribution outside of the normal industrial paths and also without
having to compete with all the junk on such sites as Youtube.
Submitting material is free.

Most of our stuff is over 10 minutes but we might have something that
can be adapted.
