In today's email from the Capitol Film Arts Alliance there was the following entry (see below.)  I forward it not because I think that any of us want to volunteer to help the CIWMB but because a familiar name shows up.  I would be willing to bet that the "Karen Olson" mentioned in the item is a former member of SAMM.  After she stopped coming to SAMM meetings she was president of ITVA for a while. 

Sorry I couldn't make it to the meeting this evening.  I was in rehearsals for a choral concert this afternoon at UCD and the thought of driving over to Sacramento in this weather was more than I wanted to contemplate.

9) VIDEO PRODUCTION HELP NEEDED

The California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB) has a volunteer video position for someone who is familiar with video production. The "job" includes some assisting in casting, on shoots (mostly local here in Sacramento), maybe some editing (Final Cut Pro) and maybe some logging tapes or recording voice overs. We are located in the 26 story CalEPA government building downtown on 10th and I St. We DO have a paid student position type thing available soon (within 6 months) but right now we need "free help". The job is sporadic as we aren't always in the production phase. Please contact Karen Olson, aka "K.O." at kolson@... <mailto:kolson@...> if interested. The "job" would look good on a resume and maybe we can all learn something from each other! Thank you for your consideration
